First I’m coming here and I had to recommend everyone to stop by and get the buffet during the lunch time. Everything served was fresh hot very soft pizza and had amazing taste. The dessert was also amazing. The staff was very nice.highly recommend pizza lovers to try it out! By the way it was my first time here! I love it! Oh yeah there was a salad bar too!.
The pizza of the month May intrigue you if you're ever stop in! Some of those pizzas of the month are absolutely phenomenal! But other than that, meat lovers and their barbecue chicken and also their steak pizzas are the absolute phenomenally great!! The cheese rolls are also a very must-have when stopping and or checking out! Not cheese sticks cheese rolls
horrible experience walked in was not acknowledged. Me and multiple patrons were standing there for over 10 minutes Employees made eye contact then walk to the back. Who knows what was going on internally. Definitely won't Be going back there Anymore.Dont do it pizza was never that great anyways
This review hurts me to write it. What happened to Double Daves? Pizza wasn't hot, the Stromboli was tiny. I remember when the pizzas were hot, and the Stromboli could feed two people twice.It's been a while since I've been in so I don't know of this was an isolated case, or of its just gone downhill.When we moved to Waco from Austin 12 years ago this was my favorite place, it was a taste of Austin in Waco and I was elated to be able to frequent it.I doubt I'll be back after today. I'm sorry to leave a review like this to a place I used to adore.
This place has made a big change for the worst. They are slow to put food out on the buffet. They certainly are not the cheapest buffet at $12.50 . I checked out the reviews from the health department. I don't think I will go back.
Pizza was decent at best during lunch buffet. No real plates available, no folks available. A total of 1 new pizza came out and that was just because we requested it. Most all of the tables were dirty and it didn't seem like they knew how to make half of the things. This use to be a favorite of ours and now I won't drop almost $40 for 3 buffets again until I hear some things have changed.
We were the only customers in the restaurant. No one cleaned these tables the entire time we were there. Floor dirty, table sticky. Loud music that was thankfully turned off. Really disappointing. We’ve always liked DD. The meatball sandwiches were pretty good and the only reason I’m giving a star. We will go to Round Rock for DD and get our pizza in Waco elsewhere.
I have gone to double Dave’s for years and always loved it. I went Saturday for the first time since the pandemic and I will NEVER go back. For three buffets and drinks it was $44 and the pizza was awful. The pizza looked as if it had been sitting out for hours and tasted that way as well. The entire time we were there they brought out 1 pizza out and then were never seen the remainder of our time there. I hate it but it was just terrible. I am extremely disappointed and angry that I spent that much and it was terrible.
Usually it's okay. but I had 2 chocolate chip cookie pizzas delivered and I didn't even get to eat them. Because when they got to my apartment it looked like something had spilled on the boxes. so I called them and asked if anything had happened to the cookie pizzas while on the way and the lady told me that it was just butter.. and she didn't have any extra time to make new ones so she let the guy deliver it like it was but why did she even let it go out the door then? Like the bottom of the boxes I couldn't place down on the counter. So she said that I would be able to get 2 pizzas if I went up there to get them but didn't say that they are free after that. So I asked her if I needed to pay for them and she said rudely to me that she already told me that the cookie pizzas are free. She didn't. but I wasn't going to argue. So I asked her if I could just have my money back instead. And she was rude about that to which I don't really get ..I'm not really wanting to eat a chocolate chip pizza that's all soggy and butter is in the bottom of the boxes..
These people are so lazy, it's unreal. Everytime I go in here there's someone on their phone, and one sitting. Went to pick up and order and this is what I saw. Order was placed 40 min ago but it wasn't even started yet? I thought I'd give this pace a second chance since my first experience was horrible and the food was gross. I will never be getting food here again.
