Exceptional service and food. I was looking for a local place to meet my friends for an hour in Waco and this was a solid win. (Also, it's away from traffic centers. Not so close to any of the sites, if that is a concern.) We did not participate in the challenge (see pics) but it looked like fun, too. The men's bathroom was clean when I went in the store, but my wife had exception to the women's. Maybe they could be a little more diligent about that. We will definitely stop here again when we are just having a lunch in Waco. The menu has been updated (thanks to inflation) since the last picture I saw here, so I posted a new menu. We did not try the ice cream, but they offered Blue Bell, which is "the best ice cream in the country." Haha...but it makes the store into a smaller version of Braum's. And better burgers, too.

First time visiting Dave's Burger Barn food truck in China Spring today. Great hamburgers. Highly recommend. Maybe give neighborhoods a couple days heads up notice. Many families plan their evenings based on upcoming events. A couple days notice might bring you more customers cause the food is worth it! Let us know when you will be back in town!

The Service was stupendous! Although we really wanted the famous Onion rings?they were out- but we had - hands down- the best sweet potato fries ever !! The burgers were yummy . Definitely on our list of places to go for a quick bite when passing through Waco!

First trip here. Didn’t start well. The mix was off on most of the fountain drinks and it took four tries to find one that didn’t taste like carbonated water. Although there was one couple before us, took 15 minutes to get two burger baskets. Finally, a chance at the much acclaimed “Dave’s“ burger. It was as good as any you’ll try in Waco, but that isn’t what stood out. I absolutely loved the fresh, hand cut fries. Wonderful! Just like I used to get at Cupp’s. Made the trip more than worth it. I’ll come back just for them.

Burger was good but over priced. Onion rings were overcooked and standard issue yuk. I was also over charged. Receipt showed 16.55 but it added up to 14.46. there is sign in the restaurant that due to costs, prices are 10% more than advertised. If you look at the receipt (on my burger basket pic) and compare to the menu pic prices are already more than 10% higher. I hate being ripped off.For the average food and being over charged I'll not return. Better alternatives available in the area.

Went there for my birthday while overnighting there. It was my birthday and it sounded good when I asked a local for a recommendation. It was home style cooking and generous servings. Because of it being cooked fresh, it took a while but well worth the wait.

Great burgers and fries. Out of the way but busy at lunch. Only gripe is off the wall soda selection and table gad not been cleaned last time I went about 1:30 and only two other customers at another rable.

Came in 40 min before they close lady at the register was rude asked if we still wanted to eat there after i had already told her yes. Ordered 2 hot dogs for my kids and they were burnt like black burnt where my kids did not eat them. They look like they were ready for us to get out so they can leave. Will not be returning

My wife came before me telling me was so good, she bring me here a Saturday that wasn’t busy, let me tell you guys one of the best burgers I ate, I got the jalapeño burger, that any place will put pickle jalapeños but the put fresh cut ones!home made shakes with blue bell ice cream, onion rings on point and tots crispy and potentially addicted. If you’re on the road and close to it don’t miss the opportunity.Totally worth it.

From the food truck:Soo disappointed ordered a plain cheese burger for my lil one and also fries super salty and the burger meat was not worth $10 bucks the patty was the size of a freaking kids burger from Wendys or mcds. I ordered an average adult meal for a hungry child. Never again!
