Where do I start. We sat at the bar & ordered nachos. Nachos finally came in 45 min later in a takeout plate. (We were going to eat there) We were also not given silverware. We ended up seeing 3 ROACHES on the bar top that night before our meal was done. Bartenders saw them & killed 2. The 3rd was in the cup where utensils were kept. We were still charged!! Paid & left. That's my last time going for sure.
Came highly recommended but, did no live up to the Hype. First, they need to learn how to season their food. Okra, onion ring and fries had no seasoning and therefore no flavor. The sliced beef sandwich (picture) had two pieces of brisket on it.....two! Just ok flavor, nothing to wright home about. Service was good, drinks were good. Isn't on my list of "I'll come back" places.
My wife and I found the pulled pork was cooked to perfection. The sides were spot on. The server gave us the perfect balance of attention. The owner came out and we had a nice conversation about the Waco area and points further south. We truly appreciated the insights he provided. If we are ever in the area again this will be a must go.
The food was good but the customer service was not great. I was charged more for drinks than what the special on the board behind the bar said it was when I brought it to their attention they told me that they were going to change it this one time and that it says it in fine print on the menu. When I tried to tell them that it should say it on the board they were rude and ignored me, I have never felt so disrespected, I usually tip anywhere from 15 to 25% even with poor service. Today was the first time I didn't tip.

Well, another family owned business owned by local area here in Waco. We stumbled across Coach's BBQ SMOKE last night on the 10 o'clock news there are a few good things that come out of a snow storm ?.This little BBQ & BAR was just one of the many we have discovered. I'm sure there are many more. The owners are a 5 star humble kinda couple. The atmosphere speaks for itself. The drinks as well. the appetizers, as well as the lunch and LETS NOT forgot the PEACH COBBLER. The brisket i cut with my fork as well as the smoked turkey an baked chicken. Though let me back up just a bit the appetizers are more than heaping so know when to say when, or ask for a to go box this way you'll have room for the BRISKET. ENOUGH said.
We ordered a pulled pork sandwich and a one meat meal. Both meats were served at room temperature and the pulled pork sandwich was more fat than meat. We both ordered fries and they were not fresh and also served at room temperature. Our server, Fernando, was very attentive and our food was served fairly quickly, so the temperature was not because it was sitting around waiting to be served. I would rate our server a 5 and our food a 1.

Met ALL the expectations. Visited on a busy Friday night and was seated quickly and served with friendliness. The meat was tender and the prices were manageable (specials are where it’s at). Definitely a place to try. One just has to remember that it is a down and dirty bbq joint with a hopping bar and slightly spicy bbq sauce.
