My husband and I went there after reading an article about the restaurant celebrating its 100th anniversary in service. We were convinced that the food must be a special kind of amazing. While the food wasn't bad, it just wasn't good. The first hint that this might not have been the best idea came when we got the chips and salsa. The salsa appeared to be watered down with no vegetables of any sort in it and very little spice. The chips were equally nondescript. We placed our order: carnitas and the Josephine special. The carnitas arrived and were extremely bland. The only hint that it was actually pork was the bone that we found while eating it. The Josephine special was okay, but again nothing spectacular. Everything seemed to be equally bland with very little flavor or spice. It is gringo Mexican food to the extreme. The only redeeming part of this entire lackluster experience was the service we received. Everyone we came in contact with was friendly and helpful...especially the hostess.
Casa has been our favorite for many, many years! Last night we had a small graduation party on the patio and Christina was our server/waitress. There was over 30 of us and she never missed a beat. My husband drinks water like a camel and his glass never went empty. I’m so grateful to her that she took care of everything and I just got to enjoy it. Food is always hot fresh and delicious!! Thanks to Mary Lou for ease of scheduling and taking care of us as well!
My wife and I come often and love the food here. Tonight we visited and we had Christina as our waitress. She was so friendly and thoughtful of our needs. I heard her speaking to another family and being very personable and down to earth. She is the best waitress we have had here and like I said, we visit here often. The food was great as usual too! We have never had anything here that wasn’t delicious!!
Our food is always delicious but our waitress was absolutely wonderful, very attentive from beginning to end, even when she was getting busy she was friendly and making sure we were okay.
Very friendly and helpful staff, fresh ingredients, hot plates, great tea! I ordered the pork taco dinner. I definitely would order again. Great place and atmosphere.

Unpretentious, old-school restaurant with a retro look and menu. That may not sound good to you, but this is like the places that I used to go to back in the 80s and it suits me fine.The food is good, with decent-sized portions, and the only complaint is that it's a little salty for me. The staff is great and I do recommend trying them out...I'm going back.
My husband and I went and had there tortilla soup and a frozen margarita. Both was perfect. The guy we had as our waiter took great care of us. The waiter we had was a tall guy with grey or white hair. He is the best. He deserves a raise. I will go back. Casa De Castillo gets more than 5 stars from me. Keep up the great work Casa De Castillo.
Great food and great service!! I have been eating at the Castillo's restaurants since I was a young child, and they have always been very friendly and have consistently had good food for over 50 years! I highly recommended anyone to stop by for a delicious meal!
I came to this restaurant the first time, over 40 years ago. I keep coming back all these years, because their food quality is always superb, their service is friendly, and their prices are always very reasonable for a family budget or a Senior myself.
