Amazing! This is a hidden gem I would have likely passed by but a friend told me about it. The food was incredible. I didn’t know what to order so I let the guy at the counter surprise me and I was not disappointed. Corn, Cajun trio, catfish and bread pudding. I can’t recommend enough. Thank you kind sir for your great food recommendations and to the great cooks putting this all together.
Reviews like this are always hard for me. There were things I loved, and things I hated. Example the food was excellent, however due to staffing. It took a while to come out of the kitchen. Another example is the venue was nice and small, however they didn't have an inside bathroom. To make matters worse, at times you could smell the outside bathrooms inside the dinner area. It was absolutely horrible. We moved to another table to lessen the smell. Lastly, it was a tad expensive. I'm happy I had the experience, however I will never visit again:(
Best cajun food I've ever had. The catfish was amazing. The hush puppies were amazing. And the chicken strips for the kids were... Well, you guessed it. They had technical difficulties when our large party arrived and our orders didn't make it to the kitchen. We easily waited over an hour to get food, but Ryan and the team were very friendly and worked hard to rectify the situation. We didn't make a fuss because we understand how short-staffed many businesses are right now in the first place - not to mention throwing technology issues in. I will 100% make a trip back and I will recommend them to family and friends over and over!
We found this place on our way to Magnolia Silos. The food was superb, capturing true Cajun flavors- with a very inviting atmosphere and friendly staff! Our family ordered everything from gator bites, jambalaya, short ribs… all fantastic!
Top flight fresh fried shrimp and hush puppies. Best gumbo I've had in years. It's a 5 min drive from I-35 but worth every minute of it. Great spacious outdoor patio seating.
We stumbled upon this place during our stay in Waco. SO GLAD WE DID!! The food is delicious and the staff is super friendly! We came for dinner and loved the place so much we came back the next day for lunch! Shout out to Chi Chi for taking care of us both times!!
Absolutely, hands down best cajun I've ever had. Skip going to the Magnolia Market for just good breakfast food and go to this incredible place! The hush puppies were crunch on the outside and soft on the inside. The beans and rice were incredible with flavor. The oysters were not fishy at all. You could tell they were fresh and cleaned well. 10/10 recommended!
I can’t rave enough about this place! The food is flavorful & oh so delicious! A great taste of New Orleans in the area. You will NOT be disappointed. The customer service is awesome. We will definitely return for more. I recommend the New Orleans Trio. AMAZING!
The food is so good here! It's a nice place to go on a date or out with your family. I loved the gumbo and boudin balls. The beignets are pretty good too. I will definitely go back. There is limited parking so you may have to park across the street. Also, if it's busy it may be a little packed in. But you do have the option to eat on the patio.
It’s not fast food, it’s all cooked to order. This means you’ll get fresh, hot and delicious every single time. Portions are huge, food is good. Nice patio.
