I have friends who rave about this place, but that wasn't my experience. I ordered the biscuits and gravy with bacon. The biscuits tasted identical to what I get at Burger King, and that's not a bad thing. The gravy was ok, nothing special, but what they call "bacon" was simply a few, tiny bacon flakes that, except for the color, looked like pepper. Price wasn't terrible, but for 4 dollars I can get 2 bacon, egg and cheese biscuits at Burger King for exactly half the price.

These biscuits and gravy ($6) and Kolache ($2) will fill you with happiness and satiate your hunger. There were board games and other retro video games in the restaurant. Food was awesome, service was great. 9/10 would highly recommend visiting for breakfast and buying cool games. Oh! You should try their salsas!!! Award winning for a reason.

One of the best Southern Style/American Style breakfast places in Waco. They never disappoint. The staff is always friendly. If you're a gamer or have a gamer in your life, it's a must. The details to their theme is wonderful. They have the best French Toast I've ever had. The flavor does change daily but it's always amazing. If you're wanting something more on the savory side the Big Boss Boy is delicious. The eggs, bacon, potato, and white gravy compliment their homemade biscuits. Their comfort food will leave you feeling like you need a nap afterwards.

Butter My Biscuit Cafe.I was extremely excited about this cafe as the pictures look outstanding and conceptually, it’s not something I have personally seen.First the pros: I loved the hostess. She was working hard and was definitely on her a-game while being polite at the same time. The biscuits were on my top 5 of all time favorites. They were nice and tall and gooey inside. Just how I like them.My wife liked the strawberry jam.Unfortunately, that’s about where it stopped. There were so many things about this restaurant that left me wanting more for them. With some stronger management techniques, some sharpening of the systems and efficiencies, the desire to grow and with some QC changes, Butter My Biscuit could be a nationwide chain. They’re only a couple of clicks from there - but I’m not sure if it’ll happen or if they want it to happen. The presentation is a cool concept, but I left saying to myself that I love to mix my food together but I’m the one who loves to do it. I think there could be a creative way to make it look mixed but give the person the ability to still have control over what they want to do with each type of food. If that balance could be found, I think it could be a home run.I agree with the complaints about the cleanliness. The restaurant is due for a major professional cleaning from the walls to the floors. I’m usually not phased by cleanliness, but it’s really borderline. Finally my only food complaint was the gravy. I’m not sure what exactly the grey liquid they provided was, but it was a 1/10. There was no sausage in it and it was like water. Gravy should be thick and chunky. If they addressed that item alone, it’d put them in another category.Try this restaurant. The core of it is excellent. I can tell the owner has this restaurant close to their heart. But, there’s major room for growth and improvement. It’s up to them if they want to seize it…

If you don’t like breakfast biscuits, it’s probably not worth your time. They take their very good biscuits and put them into almost every dish. French toast: biscuit. Donut holes: biscuit. It’s actually surprising how versatile they made them. The coffee is good and their specialty coffees are creative. This is not a light and fluffy, yogurt and granola kind of breakfast. It’s a super heavy, fill you up for a week, American kind of breakfast. Come hungry! The gaming concept is in the same location all the way in the back. Same management but separate businesses.

Great food and service, fun atmosphere. We played Uno while we waited for brunch. Super family-friendly. A neat spot!!!

First time trying and will not be the last. Cheesy grits are heavenly. Biscuits taste like they came from gramma’s kitchen. Super friendly staff and they go out of their way to make sure your happy. Highly recommend!!

Heaven and the rest of the staff are friendly and the food was good ??

This is a great little breakfast place that also doubles as a bar, restaurant, and medieval hobby shop. Definitely one of a kind. The biscuits are great, and The Separatist breakfast of cheese eggs, grits, gravy, sausage or bacon was perfect. But try the red velvet, or apple, or peach bonuts, too. They are exceptional. Lots of good and interesting choices here, and very friendly.

Stopped in while driving through Waco after seeing this place featured on TV. The service was great! The food tasted amazing. The portion sizes are pretty big. When passing through town again will make it a point to stop and get a bite to eat here.
