My mom and I stop through Waco when driving across the country and we try a new coffee place every time. Bru didn’t disappoint!! Sarah (not sure if I spelled correctly) was so kind and knowledgeable, and made one of the best dirty chais I’ve had in a long time. I have an insane list of allergies and she helped me find 2 great drinks. I also got a honey latte with oat milk. My mom got the earl grey crème tea and loved that as well. Will definitely be back!!
A unique espresso machine in a welcoming and friendly shop. The espresso counter is setup in the lobby and sitting area is in the store across. While googling for an espresso shop during a short trip to Waco, the local aspect stood out. Thankfully i was rewarded with a great espresso from a one of a kind custom made machine. I was also tempted to try the “Hot” chocolate truffles and after being in Texas for too long I thought they were “spicy hot” chocolate truffles but they actually were named for “hot chocolate” drink LOL. Still they were good after I got over my disappointment. Now I need to rush and get some Lammes Habanero Pecan Pralines to make up for the miss:-)
Good coffee and the ambiance is top notch
Super friendly and comfortable. Love the aesthetic and the coffee is fabulous.
Great place to study and work. Coffee was fantastic. Environment was great.
Coffee drinks and breakfast snacks were good. Staff was pleasant. Relaxed seating area. Plenty of parking.
I am in a new city so just checking things out. This was a typical American espresso bar. Everything is flavored and alright. It was locally roasted coffee though so that was the redeeming quality.
Delicious!! Great service and the best scone I’ve ever had!!
Visited here a couple of weeks ago. I checked the requirements on Google prior to driving here. It is not listed on here that masks are required. There is a sign on the door but the door is also a part of a larger building and is not clear which business it it pertains to. There was one customer in the shop ahead of me. When it was my turn to order, no one other than the barista, myself, my daughter and sister in law were in the shop. The barista asked if I had a mask, I told her no I do not. She asked me to put one on from a box of cloth masks that they have there. First off, the mandate was lifted. Secondly they should really have this information listed so that a customer can know ahead of time. Third, if they're so concerned for their workers or customers safety they should offer medical masks from a concealed box, not cloth masks from open box that have possibly been used and not washed or have dust on them from sitting there exposed. They can claim all they want that they're washed but how can a customer trust that they are and people have allergies to certain detergents as well. When I expressed that I wouldn't use their cloth mask the barista just stared at me blankly. I said, " okay, I guess we are leaving then?" The barista then said, "yeah". So I left there and took my business to the Magnolia Press Coffee Company which by the way didn't force masks on anyone, people gave their 6 feet of space and the coffee was great! I highly recommend going there instead.
(fair warning, i use to work here. as such, i waited about a year from my employment to post this review)i love the attention to detail that the employees will put into the drinks and how much they care about each customer.the pseudo-european aesthetic is what originally brought me to trying them out and i love the atmosphere they have, the seats are not the most comfortable for long stays though.a big plus is having bike racks though!
