Went for Mother's Day dinner. Our waiter, Trevino (I think) was awesome and the reason for the two stars. Everything else was a bust. Spinach dip was obviously reheated as there was an interesting "crust". Toddler didn't get fries that came with her meal until near the end of our meal, and they were cold and old. We (2 adults) both ordered the jambalaya. I've had this dish over a dozen times at BJ's. The first time they brought them out, there was hardly any rice and the dish was loaded with huge chunks of nearly uncooked bell peppers and onions. I literally had a 2 inch long bell pepper in it. We sent them back and they came out again. Same huge chunks, but more rice. I ended up just picking a lot out and eating what I could. We spent about 2 hrs there and likely won't be back.
My family and I went to Bjs for dinner last night. It went really well, our Server was a lady Named Andy and she was really awesome. She did a great job , plus ... My wife, kids and my food was all good. It was cool to hear my family enjoying it. Thanks!
service was amazing. On Point!! but the food, the food was a let down. Sounded good on paper but came in, spaghetti was cold in some spots but piping hot in others. Easily to tell it was microwaved but tasted ok. The 4hr steak. presentation was good but flavor was not. Salads were good tho.
Fast service, but I remember the food being better. Spaghetti was overcooked and oversauced. Meatballs were great.
The staff are generally friendly but have been trained to push various parts of the menu and keep revisiting the table to push more on you. BJs is a bar- restaurant with medium standard food which they have increased the cost of by 30% in recent months. Not worth the visit until costs come down and service improves. I have been going there periodically since they opened
We ate late on a Thursday night (3/3/22) and the food was fine however the service was terrible. We sat for 20 minutes before anyone came to get our drink order. It took another 30 minutes to get our food. We were seated near the kitchen door in the bar area and could see other waiters but not our waitress! The restaurant was empty and I think our waitress kept forgetting about us.
The food is great even though it's a little bit overpriced but I can't remember the last time I has time I had service this bad at a restaurant.We were brought to our table, and no one came for 10 min. 2 waitresses must've walked past us half a dozen times each before I had to flag one down. I asked if she was our waitress and with an annoyed face she just nodded and mumbled "uh-ha". Every encounter we had with her after that, she just seemed simply annoyed to be there. She completely avoided eye contact and just looked around. She had to bring over an appetizer, silverware, our drinks, our meals, and a to-go box and each occasion she would just set whatever it was right in the middle of the table quickly without looking at us and just leave. Her answers were short and mumbled. When we asked her for the check she took way to long and we would watch her walk all over the restaurant and then eventually go into the kitchen, then look at our table and it would click that she forgot to get it so then she would go get the check. She's either a ridiculous scatterbrain and a socially awkward person or maybe she was just high haha. Either way she is is clearly in the wrong industry. We won't be back
This was a fine place to dine, but the prices are way too high. The atmosphere is typical of a brew house- open and a little acoustically loud, but the booths still have an intimate feel. The food is pretty good, but pricey. I do not recommend the ahi however because after having it on two separate visits, I became sick. The ahi at other places has not ever made me sick before, so... that said, the salmon is perfectly cooked here. There is a jambalaya that is very popular and recommended. A server named Tyler was the best server we've ever had anywhere. He was energetic and attentive and his timing was perfect. He was knowledgeable about the menu and checked up on us without being intrusive, but just enough that we felt taken care of.
good food and good beer....and good service.
We celebrated my daughters Birthday. We had a great time. Friendly service and great atmosphere.
