We went after my boyfriend's granddaughter's graduation. The food was brought out fast after we ordered. The Shrimp Diablo wasn't the same as I get here in Dallas from Campuzano's... the Shrimp tasted like they were boiled, now the sauce had the right type of heat but that was it. And these days restaurants try to hurry to kick you out but we were ready to go and had to ask for our tab. I know some people who would've walked right on out.
My son, his girlfriend and I came here to eat. I will not be going back and will spread the news as to why.My sons girlfriend ordered a plate and asked not to have meat put on the plate. They would not do it.This is ridiculous! It is not a difficult thing to make the plate and not cook the meat. Seems like it would be easier!Another time I went and wasn’t hungry but everyone else was. I ordered a child’s plate. I got the child’s plate but they charged me for an adult price. That is just wrong!!There are plenty of other Mexican restaurants in Victoria. I will, my family and friends will go there and not here!!
I try to come here every time I visit Victoria. The food here is delicious and the service usually is as well! Place is kept clean. La Tejanita has been a fixture of this part of Victoria for years, and their food is always fantastic! I got the green enchiladas with chicken and avocado, and they did not disappoint! Try to get a glimpse at the daily specials menu when you walk in, as that will have some of the best options of the day. Definitely will continue to visit when I come to town!

Stopped to have lunch here. The outside is very nice. We go in it was not busy at all. No one greeted us we asked do we seat ourselves? Well we did. Finally someone came. I noticed other people came in and they were greeted and brought them chips right away. I thought well they're probably regulars. But anyway the service is ssslllllloooooooowwww and not much on the menu to choose from and what we did get was not good it was bland and colorless. The girl who brought out food was very nice didn't catch her name but she was also the cashier. She is the only reason I gave a 2. WILL NOT EAT HERE AGAIN!!!!
It was the worst experience today for dinner. We ordered combination plate that had small strip of beef fajitas and 6 shrimp, quarantine, rice, charo beans. The fajitas was so tuff that we couldn't cut nor chew. The shrimp had a fishy taste and the top shelf margaritas was watery. We were hungry but this meal was made for a dog to eat! Never go there ever again!!
Well had a bad experience order shrimp cocktail had a hard piece of something in there didn't say any thing I also ordered the camarones a la diabla shrimp weren't cooked properly and very pricey also won't be coming back

Today is the first time I've come during lunch time. I love their breakfast, but lunch was a huge let down. We ordered the Enchiladas Mexicanas & Carne Asada w/ shrimp. Everything was very bland, hardly any seasoning. I had originally given this place 5 stars because of their breakfast, but after today's lunch, have to give it just 1 star. Hurts me to do that, but I was completely let down.
