I used to go here regularly and quite enjoyed it. Over the past few months I have noticed a marked decline in the food quality. Given inflation I attributed it to the cost of supplies and gave them several more opportunities to improve.Unfortunately the decline has gained momentum and now the staff seem disgruntled and down right rude as well.My final experience was when my family went out for dinner on a Friday evening around 7pm. The buffet appeared picked over and many items appeared dried out as if they had been sitting out far too long. The items that were salvageable enough to attempt to eat were so over salted or drenched in other seasoning as to make it inedible. We’re they using this as an attempt to mask lesser quality cuts of meat or perhaps foods that are at or beyond the use by dates? I can not say.About 24 -36 hours after eating here each person from our party began suffering from severe stomach issues while the balance of our family that did not dine with us remained the picture of health. Not sure if this is mere coincidence or not but I don’t intend to give it a second chance.I’m very disappointed in seeing a once good restaurant sink so low.

Smaller sized buffet compared with other buffets but cozy atmosphere. Very clean too. Each dish is delicious. Food is uniquely flavorful: Roasted Chicken, BBQ ribs, chicken sticks, and shrimp served 4 ways (fried, coconut, salt and pepper, and spicy garlic) were fantastic and my personal favorites. The ribs melt in your mouth. Go for the dinner time menu to get all the shrimp! Live out of town but always make it a point to eat here.

It’s okay, not bad but probably not something we will come back too. Sushi is not good here and the buffet is bland. They do have a couple of good things but most are just okay. We did not get to try the hibachi because no one was working that section the whole time we were eating. Price is fairly high for what you get compared to other buffets in the area.

It was ok, and convenient from Homewood Suites. I arrived around 7:30 pm. The white rice was hard, but the sushi was really good. I would have loved warm/hot sushi options but I know that would be difficult for a buffet.

I've been to smaller Chinese buffets that are far better than this. The people of tyler must live under a rock cause this place really isn't all that good in my opinion. And it seems like this place would appeal more to those who eat sushi and seafood.

I was very impressed with the quality and flavor of every dish. It’s tasty Chinese-American food and it was only $13 per person for dinner. That’s a great deal for good sushi, habachi, and tons of Chinese dishes and desserts. This place is even better than all the Chinese buffets I’ve been to in Dallas and the staff were super nice and attentive. I’m definitely coming back and bringing the rest of my family. Thanks Yami Buffet! You’ve got a new happy customer.

Amazing buffet! Great calm location, one of the best options tyler has for a buffet! Enough room to bring the whole family, great sanitary measures. There were gloves provided for the buffet. The entire staff was friendly, helpful, and quick whenever you needed them. Would recommend a 2nd, third, or lifetime trip back here.

This is a very clean and nicely organized asian buffet with lots of choices and good flavors. The interior decor is both interesting and comfortable. They also have sushi that is much better than most buffets I have eaten at. The only bad things were some of the food choices were empty so we couldnt try those and the chef for the tepenyaki grill to order section of the buffet was never at his station so we couldnt have a fresh grilled selection during our visit. The cheese cake for dessert was delicious and the scoop yourself ice cream choices were great. Try the green tea ice cream- yummy!

We were not very excited about a "buffet" but thought we would give this place a try. To our pleasant surprise, the food was actually pretty good considering. If I had any critique it would be to have a bigger variety of meats. Most of the dishes, although tasty, were shrimp dishes. The service was exceptional as well. Be wary though, the prices online are not reflective of what you will pay when you get there. The price is actually about 30% more than what is advertised online.

Not the best plans but certainly not the worst. Average fare but the sushi is much better than many buffets. One thing to note is that the website says 10 bucks on Sundays but it was 13 dollars a person. Sign at front door will let you know. I'll keep looking for a buffet but this one is something to think about if you like sushi.
