Ridiculously GOOD! If you haven't eaten here before please go and try the number 6, with a side of chips, and hot sauce! We love this place!
I’ve been going to this place since I could drive. Hands down one of my most favorite places to go to. I always order the Tortas and it is always just as good as the first time I ever ate there.
Just moved here from Tucson, AZ. I was looking for great Mexican food, and Taqueria El Lugar was recommended. The tacos were so good that both my 20 year old daughter and I went back for another round after our initial order!! The people were friendly, and obviously put that care and enthusiasm into their food! We'll be back weekly!!
I had the super quesadilla. It was loaded with beef, avocado, tomatoes, and jalapeños wrapped in a freshly made flour tortilla. Overall it was good but a little salty with too much grizzle and fat that made it hard to chew. The outside of the store looks pretty rough, but the inside very nice and clean. The servers were very helpful and kind. And the music was great!!! I’ll definitely be coming back.
Excellent tacos! My only regret was not getting more of the chicken tacos, because those were especially juicy and flavorful.
Amazing tacos and great service, will advise to arrive before the lunch hour rush if your lunch time is short. The line will be out the door around 12:30pm, but that lets you know how great the food tastes.
My favorite place to eat in tyler. The quesadillas are amazing as well as the red sauce! Amazing customer service as well. If I could go everyday; I would! Highly recommend.

This is a must stop and eat, everytime I come to town. This family owned business treats you like family. The service is great, lots of great food that taste like grandma is cooking. You will feel right at home there.
They give you good portion sizes for you money, & top the tacos with plenty of cabbage & cilantro for a perfect meat-veggie ratio! This is our favorite taco shop. My boyfriend loves their super quesadilla with everything.
