This was my first time here and there was a bit of a line waiting to get in that day.The pork ribs were sold out that day so we didn't get to try them. However we did get the brisket, chicken, & sausage with coleslaw and potato salad for our sides. All the proteins were very good, had a nice smokey flavor, and well seasoned. I did think the brisket was a little bit on the dry side and could have been a bit more tender. The sides were great too. The coleslaw wasn't your traditional slaw, it was just lettuce and parsley in a kind of tangy lime sauce. It was different but a great accompaniment to the fatty proteins. The star of the show for me though was the mother clucker sandwich, sooo good!! Well balanced flavors, this is a must get if you go here!!

The 5 of us were visiting and wanted real Texas BBQ. We heard Texas had the Best BBQ. We ordered a brisket sandwich, 2 brisket taco meals and 2 baby back ribs meals and 2 potato salads. We have never seen so much meat on baby back ribs before! The two of us that ate the ribs got sick with terrible stomach cramps and diarrhea. We knew it wasn't the potato salad bc those 2 didn't get sick. We won't be back there again. Oh, the kids said the tacos were good.

Amazing brisket, tender flavorful and juicy with perfect bark. Great turkey and ribs. Coleslaw was plain but still a good compliment. Very good potato salad.Plenty of seating indoor and out.Stage setup for the many bands that play here.

This place is absolutely wonderful and worth any price, the service is quick and the waiters and cashiers are friendly, the "outside patio" is awesome and includes a fully stocked bar and immaculate bathrooms. There is also a stage where they host live music weekly and I've never been disappointed by who they scheduled. There's also a huge connect 4 board so if you and a friend wanna play or if you have kids it's perfect for them. And the food is absolutely delicious. I think they may have the best chicken sandwich in town. I would highly suggest ordering it

Great Barbecue restaurant out in East Texas. I ordered the sliced Brisket sandwich and ribs. I was pleasantly surprised when I was served baby back ribs instead of St Louis cut ribs like most Texas Barbecue places. The brisket was decent but not overly impressive. The ribs were great, good spice rub with a complimentary glazed sauce. I will warn you if you are wanting Central Texas (Salt & Pepper) rubbed ribs, this is not it! This is better than that, and has the Texas Monthly awards to prove it.Good atmosphere, good food, and great service! I will certainly be back..

Great BBQ. Was in Kilgore TX to visit family and ended up at Stanley’s Famous Pit BBQ and was well worth the 40 minute drive to Tyler TX. I like the option to sit either outside or inside the air conditioned bar area, had the small brisket sandwich, sausage link and beans, great tasting and fresh BBQ. Wish we could have stayed for the music, looked like a great place to hang out.

I did not enjoy my visit. The employees and service were very poor. The bad experience starts when you order and pay for the food at the first counter. The employees there are not helpful, nor are they friendly. Next you advance to the bar to order and pay again for your alcoholic drinks. The treatment from the bar employees is worse than the food counter. I was not acknowledged standing at the bar as four different employees ignored me. My meal was delivered to my table, but I was still waiting for them to take my beer order at the bar. Terrible service. I enjoyed the meats. The two different sausages were nicely cooked. The brisket was cooked perfectly, but I did not taste any rub, bark or injection. The best thing I tasted was the cowboy beans. I loved the meat bits in the bean gravy. Five stars for the beans. There are two gold award plaques from 2010 and 2011 hanging over the order counter. I do not feel the caliber of the food that earned those awards has stood the test of time 11 years later. I would not make a repeat visit. The service was terrible and it takes way too long to get a beer on tap.

One of my best BBQ Spots in Texas special in that region. Students in Tyler are super Lucky to have this magnificent dining option. I ordered Brisket and Ribs with Potato (Amazing) Salad. Of course the BBQ sauce that you don't really need. My wife ordered the Loaded Bake Potato, it was great as well. Great Job Stanley's BBQ folks, I will definitely go back.

We ate here while in the area at the recommendation of a friend. So glad we stopped here. Let me say they have vegetarian tacos! I was expecting to have to order a baked potato and was surprised at the veggie taco option. Husband said the brisket meal and pulled pork taco were excellent! They have a fun, very casual outdoor patio, and had live music when we were there.
