We attempted to eat at Posado’s this evening, Thursday, June 9, at about 8:20 pm. We entered the restaurant and there was no hostess at the counter so we gladly waited thinking he/she would return momentarily. Finally a person sauntered up to the counter, he/she mumbled that they only had one server. We said that was fine and our party of 3 would still like to dine. He/she again mumbled, eyes only half open, while fidgeting with a stack of menus, that the one server was behind and can’t “handle it” and we would have to wait. It was absolutely the strangest encounter at a restaurant ever! I understand if they are understaffed, but this person was high or something. We left, needless to say!

Our party of 11 arrived and checked in with the front desk. We were told we should expect a 20-25 minute wait to be seated. 45 minutes later we were still waiting to be seated even though there were several tables completely empty that we could have been assigned. In an attempt to speak to the manager, I called the restaurant from my seat in the waiting room. I received a voice recording with options. I made the selection to speak to a manager and received a robotic message telling me I could leave a message. I tried to call again and realized, as the phone was ringing, the telephone on the front desk was NOT ringing. Apparently, for whatever reason, the phone at the restaurant had been shut off and was not accepting incoming calls. We were able to confront the manager in person shortly after that and she assured us that she would get us seated right away. A waiter came and took our drink orders (while we were in the waiting area). The service, once we were seated, was very good and the food was too. However, we were there for 2 1/2 hours altogether because of the seating fiasco.

My family & I eat here every couple of weeks. It's one of our favorite places to dine. The food is delicious! We really enjoy the salsa & chips. I get my favorite chicken enchilada w/sour cream sauce & cilantro lime rice...so yummy! My family members have tried different items on the menu & they have not been disappointed. The service is prompt & very courteous! I recommend you give it a try.

We came in around 12:40 and ordered off tge lunch menu. There was 3 in our party, and it took them 28 mins to bring out our meals of 2 single chimichangas and a salad. The chimichangas were the smallest I've ever been served and I didn't feel the meal served was worth the $10.99 we were charged each. We will continue to take our business to El Mejicano in Tyler, better pricing, food quality and no wait time.

I recently visited Posados after a road trip for our business and, unfortunately we were very disappointed.Which was strange, because I had always had good experiences dining here in the past before. Both myself and my partner precious lived in Houston for many years so we are familiar with the food and their menu, and went in knowing just what we wanted. We explained that we were in a little bit of a rush too because it was about 9 night in the evening and we had a two and a half our drive home ahead of us, which we expressed to our server.her name was Carrie. But unfortunately by letting her know this, it seemed at though had the opposite effect of our intentions and request.Because she was not only very very slow, (and was not busy either we saw), but she also talked a lot, A LOT I mean a lot. and divulged many unnecessary personal and even pretty inappropriate details that we absolutely did not need to know. This experience was not very professional and we did not need to know about her personal life, we were just there to eat a meal before driving home. The food was actually pretty good, however it did take a really long time to get out, not sure if our server forgot to put in our order or what happened there, but my food was not hot, and then at the end of the meal I was so tired and plum exhausted that I went to our truck... and it took my significant other another 15 minutes to come to the truck because he was still waiting on the check and for the server Carrie to take care of the bill!I completely understand wanting to be overly friendly and friends with all of your guests, however when they express that they are in a hurry to get home and would like their meal to go, especially if you are not very busy, the best thing to do is to listen to their request, provide efficient and professional service and to respect their requests! We will probably not be back anytime soon to be honestly, sorry guys but customer service is really big in our world since we are both business owners and it's even more important than the food itself.

It’s obvious some patients with Herpes are being enslaved to the antiviral and other supplementary Orthodox medicine just to help suppress the virus and not a cure. Order take to go. I was charged $65.42 and my order was COMPLETELY wrong. 1. Primo Fiesta nachos with complete set up; didn't get beans or extra sour cream 2. Primo Fiesta nachos with complete set up extra guacamole; didn't get beans and extra guacamole 3. Extra guacamole salada; I was told they didn't have the creamy guacamole sauce only jalapeños sauce, 4. Primo quesadilla with mixed fajita mix; that was correct!I was very disappointed with Posados Gentry today. ?

Just stopped in for a cold beer... not busy but still a lengthy wait for wait staff. The bar was closed & seated in dining area.
