My daughters and SIL took me here for my birthday. Server was pleasant and food was good. Except on our last drink, which was supposed to be two Patron Margaritas, the bartender didn't add the tequila. Both my daughters and myself worked in restaurants and as bartenders for quite awhile. And knew it wasn't made properly. We had already had one and a shot and just wanted to get home so we didn't say anything but I was a little disappointed about that and the separation of the tickets was also not done right. But it wasn't a huge deal. We had a baby and we're ready. Just a reminder add the tequila to the margarita or else it's not a margarita ?
I really missed this place while living so far away. I grew up on Mercados beef fajitas and couldn't find a flavor to match it in Houston but with one other restaurant. The other place happened to price themselves out of our rotation entirely down there and I was so happy to have the wonderful experience again at Mercados, while in town, at such great pricing! They still have great volume and atmosphere along with really good service! Thanks for a nostalgic flavor I cant wait to get back to when I visit!
Great food and great atmosphere, if looking for good Mexican food this definitely a place you need to try. Whether it be just you or family or friends definitely worth trying.
Mercado's is one of the best Mexican restaurants in Tyler Texas! Our waitress tonight Rosa was 1000% awesome! She made our visit there very very relaxing. As a waitress she is absolutely the best. She recommended drinks from the bar and also the top selling menu items for our dinner. I highly recommend you go there and if you get the opportunity ask for Rosa to be your waitress. I promise you will be back.
I have not been to this restaurant in several years, because I live 4 hours away. We had a group of 6 ladies. Our waitress wasn't one of the best, mainly because she didn't share with us it was Fajita night or that senior citizens can order off the lunch menu all day. My sister and I decided to share beef fajitas for one. They were the BEST fajitas I've had in a long time. The meat was so tender and flavorful! I wished we knew the beef fajitas for two were on sale. Next time I go on Wednesday night, I will be prepared.

We waited 20 minutes or more. They are served people behind us. Inquired we ordered before them. They lost our order and it was simple lunch menu. They apologize but I had a Dr. Appointment and couldn't wait another 30 minutes. At least they were gracious enough not to charge for chips and salsa. I am from out out town and I really wanted that Mexican food. Very disappointed.

I love coming here during off hours...2:30 to 4 when it's not crowded. There is always consistency in the food and I don't have to worry about too much hot spice. Portions are generous. Fajitas are tender and served sizzling. Homemade hot flour tortillas. So many menu items and all are really good. Traditional Tex Mex items. Servers are friendly. Atmosphere is great!
