This store always does a good just. Everything meets or exceeds expectations. Today my chicken leg was old and the baked beans were super tangy. Not ether if these things will keep us from going back. That store is that good.
OMG, how have I waited so long to go back to Grandy's for breakfast?? Oh yeah, hospital traffic and I am rarely in the area. I will keep it in mind for the future. Delicious homestyle cooking. I think about healthy and quick on a normal basis. Grandy's is a great indulgence. I tried to search for them under 'restaurants Tyler Texas and they did not come up quickly. They came up by name, Tyler texas.
Food and counter service great. Did not like that cleaned tables near me that didn't need to be cleaned while I was eating. We where only ones in there besides workers and obvious that no one had eaten at these tables recently. After worker sprayed cleaner onto tables near me I began coughing while trying to eat.
First time at this location and I am a huge fan of Grandys. Store was very clean. Not very busy but actually had food ready as I ordered it for dine in. The fish was very fresh and hot and bathrooms were clean(this is usually how I judge cleanliness of an establishment) Overall very satisfied and food tastes really good. Will be going back
Ordered 3pc Chicken plate. Chicken was good. But, very little gravy was put on the mashed potatoes leaving them to taste strange. And I specifically went there; because, I remembered the wonderful yeast rolls. However, they do not serve these anymore. They serve the awful tasting Hawaiian Rolls. Which have nothing to do with the Southern meal that I purchased. Won't be returning to Grandy's.
We stopped here on a Wednesday. We stood in line for 10mins. Ordered at 7:16 and they were out of most sides but we were traveling so we just got what they had. We got our food and were told that we need to hurry up cuz they were closing the lobby at 7:30pm. They had several customers after us that ordered and paid THEN were told they couldn't dine in. Very sad cuz one large family paid $60 to be told they had to take it to go. No signs on door with lobby closing hours or on the website. Do not go here for dinner!!!
Chicken fried steak ... Not. It was fried and looked and tasted like mystery meat in the school cafeteria. Mashed potatoes and gravy were pretty goodHad water leaking from the floor.
I went to Grandys 20mins ago and got a catfish combo. The sandwich was ok, but cold. The fries were cold and could tell they were sitting there for awhile. Very disappointed for the price I paid
Loved the service I got. Didn't have to wait in line and got my food fast!! The staff was very professional and friendly. The food was great!! Will be going back soon!! Wish Lufkin had a Grandy's again.
A waste of time and money... Chicken was COLD! Got a Dozen of Cinnamon Rolls and bit into one and it was old and stale. Worse they smelled like they had TURNED! Made it back home and put inside deep freezer for next trip back to Tyler. SMH.
