This is my second trip to this restaurant. The first time, I was too worried to actually go in and eat. Which was a big mistake on my part! The first time I went to have dinner here, I was brand new to Tyler, and was looking for sushi close by. GoFish is 5 minutes away. So, I jumped in my car, drove on by, and saw a big square shack that looked more like a fast food joint than a nice Japanese restaurant. Glancing in the front window, I saw what looked like a deli counter. And they had a drive through window! So I just noped on out of there. It just didn't seem like it'd be a good experience.I realize that was perhaps a bit prejudiced of me. So I went back for a second try today. And yes, you do order inside at a register/bar area, just like a deli. And there were only about a dozen tables to sit at. But still, I was quite impressed with the meal. The food was very fresh, and well presented. I've had suspect sushi before--when that fish starts getting a little older, it starts smelling and tasting fishier. And I am sure to get the tummy rumbles later. None of that was evident here! Everything was very clean tasting. I ordered the Crazy Tuna (spicy tuna, mango and panko inside, sliced tuna and avocado outside), the AAC (avocado, asparagus, cucumber), the Unagi roll (eel) and some fried gyoza (dumplings). The Crazy Tuna was super tasty. I find mango in sushi can be very hit or miss, but this was just the right amount of sweet--it wasn't overpowering or cloying. The asparagus in the AAC roll was the tender part of the tip, and wasn't woody. It still had a touch of bite, so it wasn't mushy either. The Unagi roll was sweet and succulent--though the sauce was perhaps a tad sweeter than I'm accustomed to. The gyoza was crisp, hot, and delicious. The sushi rice was well-seasoned with just the right amount of vinegar, and the gyoza sauce had that touch of ginger I'm looking for when having dumplings.I'm glad I gave this place a second look. It's not a traditional Japanese restaurant setup for sure. But it sure was delicious. And with the happy hour pricing, it was about half the price I'd have spent at one of the other sushi restaurants I typically eat at.

Really good sushi and miso soup both times we've gone here. The service is very fast and the food is good. My wife ordered the "sushi burrito" because we thought it was funny... it's also delicious!

This is our favorite sushi place. My favorite is the "sexy beach". Everything we have ordered, we have liked. Sushi is fresh, tasty, and the portions are big. The staff are friendly and courteous. There is an overabundance of options to chose from. The menu has so many choices it makes it hard to pick, and nothing you order will be bad. Miso soup is free while waiting for your food. There is limited seating available which makes it difficult to find a table during peak hours. There are 6 tables that seat 4, and there are 4 tables that seat two.Photo 1- Sexy BeachPhoto 2- Steamed GyozaPhoto 3- DinosaurPhoto 4- Vampire

They have sushi burritos. OMG. How has no one thought to do this before!Huge menu and any roll is customizable so a plus since I dont like avocado.Prices are also reasonable for sushi. They also have more than just sushi.

Absolutely delicious! Friendly & crazy efficient staff, clean space. Food was so good we went back again the next day. Highly recommend!

LOVE LOVE LOVE!!! I have never been disappointed here. I am particularly fond of the poke bowls! The sushi is delicious and the deep fried sweet potatoes are amazing! I highly recommend dining here!!!

I love poke bowls. They have a large selection of fish, vegetables and condiments. Excellent selection of sushi. This is a serious sushi bar. I am a regular customer and love this place. The staff is friendly and very knowledgeable

Great variety of food & customers! Wait staff was able to explain all the new terms in a professional, informed manner. Very busy at lunchtime with drive thru, take out, door dash, & dine- in customers. They kept up well!

Love this place. Great sushi and good prices and a huge variety. The only downside is the long wait in the drive through. Theres not much you can do about it with food like this though. I'd recommend ordering ahead or going inside to get the complementary soup while you wait.

What a great find! Tons of options and delicious. If you are looking for a good sushi joint locally or just driving by, give this one a try. The cashier was very informative and explained the huge menu to us. They have cooked vs raw sushi separated on the menu which I was thankful for since I’m 8 months pregnant and choose to not eat raw at this time. So good!
