Just left one of the worst restaurant experiences I have probably ever had. This is clearly a bar, but the service isn’t even as good as a bar without food should be. After coming from Ricks, knowing they were owned by the same place, one might expect better….Save your time money and sanity and go to Ricks on the Square considering my tab for 5 drinks and 1 dozen oysters was over $100.The picture is the oyster that is standard for $39 a dozen, and that’s what you should expect from them according to the server that wouldn’t share his name… He also failed to provide napkins with the food until the third request… We even had to ask someone else to close us out our tab because he didn’t take it the two times he past bye.Not a fan!

I hesitate to write a great review only because it will become more crowded…..but at the same time, I hate to NOT share such a gem in Tyler. This restaurant never disappoints. The staff are wonderful/on point/creative/attentive and just PERFECT! The drinks are the best in Tyler (old fashion) and the food is unlike anything else you will find here. The oysters are so fresh, the tuna tartare is delicious and their beef carpaccio and lobster bisque can’t be beat…..we just LOVE everything about this restaurant/bar. If you haven’t been, do yourself a favor and go…..❤️❤️❤️
Went here for drinks. I had a BP margarita. The jalapeno taste was okay. Kind of an acquired taste. Nice place but I wish they would mix up the music a bit.

I always go to ricks on the square next door and kept telling my friends we needed to try the black pearl. Let me tell you, it was NOT a mistake. Bartenders were super friendly and they always paid attention to us. The atmosphere is amazing, great place to just wind down after a stressful week. The food is to DIE for, definitely have never had anything like the lobster roll, was not disappointed. Thanks so much for the experience ? definitely coming back!

The black pearl has the BEST beef TarTare I have ever had. And I travel all over Texas. All of their food is amazing. The service is great. It’s clean and classy. And Seth is one of the most considerate and kindest bartenders I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. Keep doing what you’re doing. You’re appreciated.
My favorite restaurant in Tyler! It’s a charming place with exquisite and unique plates! My favorite is ordering a dozen oysters, which are not gulf. They have a great selection of rotating oysters from different locations. I also order the Crab Louis Salad and Lobster Bisque. Both full with flavor and do not skimp on the amount! I will always come here! Beautiful dishes! I have never been disappointed. Their craft cocktails also pair well with all of the food.
One of the best bars and seafood spots in East TX. Best oysters you’ll get next to Breakers and the drinks are amazing.
