Overall my experience with this location is positive food wise. Yes, my order has been wrong more than once. But they are quick to correct it. What's infuriating is the constant long waits. This is the ONLY Whataburger within a very large radius, so everyone within a densely packed local population must come here if they want Whataburger. I truly am shocked that no one has ever opened a different location somewhere in the area. The demand is high enough that 2-3 could easily be supported non-stop.
The store on Spring Cypress at 249 used to be really good. However the last three times I’ve been here, the wait in the drive-through line exceeded 25 minutes. Only then, to have the one hamburger I ordered and waited for to be completely cold, dried out, and soggy bun. I’m not sure what’s happened to this location, but between the wait exceeding 25-30 minutes, and then getting cold food, go someplace else. Terrible.
My wife, son, and I waited for our food for over 30 minutes. After we seen a couple and a family of 4 who came in after us receive there food before us I finally had enough. I went to the counter where I joined 7 other unhappy costumers. No one at the registers to help anyone out, everyone just sitting in the back taking care of drive-thru orders. The craziness part about it was, I watched my food sit there for 10 minutes getting cold. No one came until everyone started yelling. This is when I asked if that tray with my cold food on it was mine, and it was. I asked to see a manager for a refund and he didn't want to give it to me. Saying I was lying about my food sitting up there. The people that sat there and watched my food sit there gladly spoke up for me. I didn't get a sorry or nothing. Will never go back to this location ever again.
I’ve been here twice and as someone who suffers from severe nut and seafood allergies I appreciate the night team very much. They take my allergies very serious and do it happily! It’s hard for me to trust places to take the proper measures but I trust this location so much. I appreciate the level of empathy and professionalism! If you’re in the area give them a visit!
I go to this location Atleast twice a week. Youvette is great! Ask if she's working. She always makes sure my order comes out perfect!!!! I've been coming here for over a decade and she's the best employee I've seen at this location! Always a great attitude and does her job to perfection! Thank you youvette!!!!
Although I'm not one for fast food in general, I must say that my wife and two teenage daughters love Whataburger and are regular customers. I find it difficult to stop at this Whataburger because of the huge line that it usually has and it seems to always take forever to get through it. I feel that they should take some notes from the nearby Chick-fil-A that has multiple lines in their drive-thru and they move people through at a much quicker pace. If this Whataburger could move their drive through quicker, more efficiently and with smiles and a positive attitude, their business would boom even more
Do not come to this location, Store #828 at Spring Cypress and 249. We got home to eat our food and everything was cold. We only live 5 minutes down the road, but everything was stale and soggy by the time we arrived. The fries were not fresh, the meat was cold; as if it had been sitting out already cooked and waiting to be assembled. We ordered the Whatachicken as well and found the lettuce old wilted and brown. The Whatachicken recipe is not the same anymore and would not recommend. It seams like they are trying to keep up with other fast food chains by switching up their chicken sandwich recipe. Called to let the manager know how terrible the quality was, and he really didn’t seem to have a solution except remake our food. That is not necessary, as we will no longer be eating at this location ever again.
Drive thru takes way too long. 30+ minutes for two burgers and it’s usually never any quicker any other time of day. Consistently slow. Food is normally good though.
Service time and food quality is hit or miss. Fries are consistently good, but burgers are often cold and/or made wrong. Things are always corrected promptly and courteously, however. Trouble largely seems to be lack of staff, with skeleton crews spread thin during busy hours. Better to visit during non-rush times, when possible.
Love Whataburger however I go through drive through @ lunch my burger is always cold. The bun is cold, the meat cold & the fries. No matter what day it’s always cold. The lines move fast because the food is prepared ahead of time
