Hit this place up for the last time as our last meal driving out of Texas. This place never disappoints. Got a sausage and brisket sandwich (gotta love that brioche bun) and chatted with the pit master while we waited for our foods. They were kind enough to bring water for my dog since the temps were in the 100s. Dessert was the chocolate bread pudding ?. My dog won’t eat her dinner now because their brisket spoiled her for life! Don’t pass up trying some of the chocolate salty balls (I don’t know what they are called!? Truffles?) Chef would approve. They were still delicious the next day.
What can I say. Service was excellent. Made me feel welcome even though I'm not from around here. Made great recommendations. Blonde from Paradigm was delicious and refreshing. Brisket fell apart at the sight of my knife. I ordered lean and fatty. If I had to do it again I'd go all fatty. Pulled pork was also delicious. Nice crispy surprises inside of the super juicy meat. The star of the show was the carrot souffle though. Like the best sweet potato pie you've had but better. Highly recommended even if it's a little distance from where you are.
Had some brisket tacos and chocolate. Fantastic location very inviting and Texan. Cute environment for a date night or a family gathering. We will definitely be coming back. Feels like one of those secret local places you bring your visiting friends and family to showing them how great Tomball is.
Gave it three stars because we thought that on a Thursday afternoon they wouldn’t be sold out of certain meats - I don’t know if this could be shortage supply or lack of planning. We did still go with popular choices but nothing too spectacular. The sweet potato casserole was the real winner at this place. We also had the chocolates which were actually really rich and thick. I think we came on a hit or miss day, BUT DESPITE ALL OF THIS, the staff went above and beyond to make the experience great.
First time here. My wife, son and myself. We ordered a BBQ spud, corn bread casserole, carrot souffle, bacon coleslaw, burnt ends, brisket and turkey. We also tried some of there fresh pickles and pickled onions. We loved the coleslaw, burnt ends, baked potato and carrot soufle...all was very good. The rest was also good too, no complaints. The staff was friendly and helpful. We also got a few of their chocolate truffles...also yummy. We ran out of room and took left overs home. I am sure we will be back.
This was our first trip to Tejas. It is located in what I assume was an old home, maybe in an old residential area, off a main street. It was easy to get to and had adequate parking.Everyone was very friendly and made us feel at home! The food was great! It's ranked as one of Texas Monthly's Top 50 BBQ Joints, and it's easy to see why. The kielbasa sausage was good, but the chili relleno (jalapeño cheddar) was actually the best I've ever had! The brisket was very good. The cornbread dressing and coleslaw sides were unique and both very good also.We went late in the afternoon There was NO wait, and they still had most of the menu items available, a rarity at great BBQ spots. It also had a great atmosphere. We met an old friend and stayed a while without ever being pressured to leave. My wife said it's her overall favorite of the many BBQ spots we've been to the last past few years. Its certainly in my top 10, and for overall experience, top 5! We normally go to TM Top 50s for lunch, so maybe it isn't a fair comparison, but our experience couldn't have been better! By the way, the chocolate is also must for chocolate lovers!
great food and good service
Great food an great people hands down some the best BBQ money can get you
If you’re looking for some fresh Texas BBQ, this place will fix that craving for sure! I came in right when the doors opened. The staff is super lovely, their sweet tea is liquid gold, the food is very fresh, and the chocolate was an awesome finish. Will definitely be back. Thank you to Raven being super helpful and for suggesting the Carrot Soufflé! I wouldn’t have ever ordered that on my own, and it was very good!
The meats are very good. Curious to try the smoked pork belly as it is not as common in Texas bbq restaurants. Would highly recommend it. They also sell chocolates made in house. Located in Old Tomball which has a nice small town feel.
