Simple decor. The restaurant is not fancy, just a good family dining restaurant. Good value with large portions. Loved their refried beans as they have some kick and are not the plain old beans that are boring to me.
El Emperador is a hidden gem in Tomball. Eating here is like going to grandma’s house and she fixes you a plate. The food is authentic and fresh. The service is friendly and warm. Try it out and thank me later

I had high hopes. They had live music and the couple singing and playing guitar were very good. Unfortunately, there is a strong order from restroom upon entering. Staff was mostly nice. We had one person come to our table who didn't seem to care much about working there. Chips and salsa were good. The food was not so good. I think this place would actually be a great place with a new cook. To quote my kids, the food tasted "weird." We had a great time, just didn't like the food.
First time at El Emperador and the breakfast was very good, had the chorizo & egg plate and to me what make the restaurant is there tortillas and the flour were awesome! Well be going back again!
We go weekly. My husband and I are not drinkers so it’s not a factor that they only have beer and wine Rita’s. There food is simple good and reasonable priced. The waitress are nice and helpful. It’s local.
I have been going to this place for well over 10yrs. They have great breakfast and the lunch specials are delicious also have great prices did I mention free Queso with lunch. Staff is always happy to see you and have great service. This place is a must .
