Great place to hang out, eat, and play volleyball and other various games.I ordered a Strawberry Lime Margarita and the Burger Basket.The margarita was simple and tasted like starburst but tasted great.The burger was a decent size and the fries were fulfilling!The service was fair due to the amount of customers that were there.
Excellent experience!! This is the ultimate volleyball bar in the state of Texas!! Dancing, excellent food, gorgeous bartenders, best crawfish around, cheap drinks, an endless backyard area, and a very clean environment. Believe it or not this place is also suitable for kids! They have a huge parking area with video surveillance and security guards constantly patrolling the area. Very impressive.
I had been wanting to visit this place for awhile. I was disappointed and won't be going back. While the atmosphere was awesome, the service was TERRIBLE. We ordered crawfish. The crawfish were hard and seasoned after they came out of the water. The bartender was very aloof and not attentive at all. She never told us we had to take our ticket over to get the crawfish and we waited nearly an hour before finally asking about our order. The drinks were terrible. They advertised a free pound of crawfish for military. I showed my military ID and they still charged me for the "free" pound. I wouldn't return and do not recommend anyone waste their time here. It is right next to Little Woodrows...go there instead.
District 249 has a lot to offer. It is a huge bar with a lot of indoor and outdoor space. They have pretty good food and usually some sort of event going on. This place has a ton of volleyball courts and lots of other activities including Cornhole and a baseball field. I will say for the vibe of the place, which is a relaxed neighborhood bar but with a busy upbeat feel, the prices of drinks were a bit high.
I was referred to District 249 by a customer who recently purchased a vehicle from me at local automobile dealership in the area. I must say that the service was excellent and the Crawfish are very tasty. This was my girlfriend and I first visit and we will be back. Lastly, I am not a pet owner but, the establishment is very, very dog friendly. Thank You, The Byrdman
Apparently not a family place anymore. Was a place for family to eat and enjoy volleyball but apparently now they don’t allow anyone to play volleyball if you’re not 21. Sad!
The crawfish, potatoes, and sausage is all perfectly seasoned for a GREAT flavor! Im not sure if it's worth it because the service is HORRIBLE, when sitting inside(never sat outside). There was only a hand full of people inside. We were not asked how we would like our burger cooked and it was extremely dry. We asked for the fries cripsy(they were not cripsy) and for mayo(we did not get mayo). When the server brought out our food we stated what was wrong with the order. She okay, left and never came back or called our waitress. Our waitress never came back around to check and see if the food was good or refill our drinks. I had to flag down another waitress, to which she had the fries re-done, but by then the dry burger was cold. We finished our meal and no one came around so we could close out or tab. I had to flag down a server and asked for the manager. The manager came over, I explained to him the HORRIBLE service(as I was finishing the explanation our waitress walked up) he turned to her and said they want to close out their tab and walked away. No, I'll have a talk with my staff or I apologize for the service. This was not the first time, but we figured we give it another try, but nope service still sucks!
Had my first experience here Saturday! Had no clue there was an awesome place where adults and kids could have a good time UNTIL 9 or whenever they said kids had to go so we loaded up and headed out. Waitstaff's impeccable. Food was amazing. Cool atmosphere.
