've been coming to this little café nook for five years since I moved into this neighborhood. The food has changed so much I liked it when they had just small breakfast plates. The prices are high for the quality of food that they're serving. The French toast looked really nice on their digital screen but look at the serving for yourself I'm going to give it a break not coming back for a while. The coffee and lattes are not the best. Their breakfast burrito "Was the Animale" is now a veggie small burrito.
I’ve been coming to this restaurant for years. Food and coffee is good but not impressed with the new owner. I purchased over $20 in food and a coffee and was doing some work. Apparently I overstayed my welcome in the 1/3 full restaurant because the owner came by and offered to get me something more or start charging me rent. I ordered and paid for another latte and then left. Maybe she was joking with me but I won’t be back as I no longer feel comfortable doing work while enjoying a coffee. Lots of other options out there that make me feel more welcome.
Cafe Marrese, on Spring Cypress in Spring, Texas.I'm confused on what to review. They are definitely a Coffee Cafe, and a Restaurant and a Community Meeting place.Went in for breakfast, they were busy, but everything moved quickly. They have counter service and then seat yourself. The restaurant is tastefully decorated with a calming effect.Cafe Marrese offers a Quite Room for meetings that seats at least twenty. The menu is small but has a vast of offerings from waffle, french toast, egg scramble, avocado toast, etc.I ordered Avocado toast with pico de Gallo. My order arrived within three minutes of sitting down. Tasted very good, but seemed like a small serving for the price.I had black coffee, with cream and sweetener. Very good. Not cheap, but nice ambience, good food and coffee.I really liked all of three aspects of Cafe Marrese.Time to take my wife to have breakfast at Cafe Marrese.
Stopped in for the first time today. Didn't eat here today but the latte was great. The decor is beautiful, I will stop in again in the near future when I'm hungry.
This place has potential, but needs training, leadership and quality control imo. My visit was before 11:00 on Friday and there were 3 tables occupied with seven people in total. I ordered the 'hearty omelet' and paid to add vegetables. They made it on the receipt, but not in the omelet. One more egg might help it to deserve it's title of hearty. They only cost you 15 cents each at the most and it's already $11.00 for the omlet. The pieces of bacon in the omelet were anywhere from floppy, soft and undercooked, to black and so over cooked that I had to remove it from my mouth. Of the six or seven staff members, which were all in their 20s, I saw no sign of leadership, nor dress code. I think two of them had an apron. Even though it was not busy, most of the staff appeared to be struggling or confused. Some were very relaxed. Owners, step up and make it work! This area is growing rapidly and you have a good start. I hope you can save it before it's too late.
Great location with free parking. Greeted with smiles fast service and great choices. The food was very good with nice portions.
I’ve been here many times, and this is the first time reviewing. I absolutely adore this place! Their food is consistently good, and the coffee drinks I’ve tried are divine! If you dine in - be sure to ask for your drink in a mug to reduce waste (please). The ambiance is cozy and makes for a great dine-in experience. The only thing I will say (which doesn’t deserve a full star removal) is that the building’s ventilation isn’t optimal. Translation: when the kitchen is busy, your clothes may smell a bit. Again, this to me is not a dealbreaker because the food and atmosphere are so great, but it IS there, minimally. Side note: I got the Cuban for the first time? Soooo good.
We go here twice a month for a Men's group at church. The food is good along with the coffee. And pretty relaxed environment.
Full disclosure. I love not only this cafe. But the people who own it and operate the establishment as well. My wife and I tried this place last year on a whim. We were pleasantly surprised that the owner is from New York, so we immediately got a familiar feeling from our interaction from him. He is also a pastor at a church that is connected to the coffee shop. We enjoy going to his church service and frequent his Cafe several times a week
So now since the pricing understandably has gone up at restaurants they’ve now decided not to post any pricing or offer paper menus. The gal told us to look them up online. So my friend decided to order nothing. I ordered and waited a long time and finally had to go ask for my food that had just been sitting back in the kitchen. Food is great and love the atmosphere but need to tweak these things. Hiding pricing is not the answer here.
