My husband and I were there on Father's day June 19, 2022 for the "brunch." From the time we walked in the door everyone was confused on where we would sit and all tables weren't even full, but on the first floor. I had to make a decision on where we would sit. We get to the 2nd floor and somehow all of the folks behind me on the 1st floor were in a line which I didn't have a clue was a 2nd "hostess stand." I had to take the elevator because I am disabled. Now, I'm in another line that I have to ask if it's a hostess line because I'm seeing all of the people that were behind me, but the area was so crowded you couldn't tell what was going on. On the 1st floor I was told I had a table on the 2nd floor. So, I assumed I had a table on the 2nd floor. So, I went ahead of the line, told her where we were sitting and went to the table that was dirty, but at that point I wasn't impressed if the table's would ever be cleaned for anyone. We never had a waiter until we asked and we never had water or a drink before we were almost finished with out first trip to the "buffet." The first trip was an experience. The food was not what we expected and was just kind of thrown together. We decide for a 2nd trip so I went to get sweets. I wanted the waffles, but low and behold on the 2nd trip to the buffet, the waffles were the exact same one's as from the first time I had seen them. Lying in the same spot. That should tell you nobody else wanted them. I had a child in front of me and it took me 5 minutes to get to the waffles I couldn't eat. I move on to bread pudding only to see the exact same cubes of dry pudding. I could go on about me experience, but I'm quite certain I'll run out of spaces. My point is...it was chaotic and that's a nice way of putting that all of the staff not only couldn't manage their job, but their attitudes are what's to somehow be the norm. My husband spent over $100 on this experience for us. $100 is a lot of money, believe it or not...for such a disappointing experience. I'm going to be real honest here...it was so bad...that before we ever got our bill...or before I even went to get that 2nd plate to try to make up for the 1st plate...we planned our getaway to escape paying for what we consider...the theft of "our" money. It should be against the law for any restaurant to charge this kind of money for absolutely terrible food and service especially on a day to celebrate! My husband and I would love to come show you how it's done!
Good service but food is subpar. Ordered the margerita pizza and it was bland. Salmon was also bland. Goose burger was mediocre. I usually don’t mind spending money on good food, but this was overpriced. Try another restaurant.
??? First of all, there's no way to not like everything about the Irish! This place is very special, beautiful decor, the view and location is one of my favorites, it's absolutely divine! The menu is of high quality, delicious! The staff is always very kind and caring! It's a place that you're sure to only have a great and fun time! And most importantly, these days, very safe! So it's just perfect place!
I went to this bar after Batman to discuss it with my friend we had two drinks each. I bought his shirt for the movie and so he offered to pay it back on the tip I said okay and put zero as he paid about $40 tip for the $40-50 of drinks we had combined, afterwards a girl complimented me so I went to talk to her and the female bartender has the f****** audacity to announce in front of everyone if her service was bad and why I didn’t tip… FIRST if I didn’t want to tip oh well that’s not your business second she was tipped VERY well considering I gave her a extra $10 to lessen the embarrassment she gave me. Needless to say if I ever go back in this bar I’ll be tipping 2 cents since they love giving out there’s
The whiskey short ribs were great. Corn beef and hash was superior. The table location outside was great. Thanks ??
Great little Irish Pub overlooking the water. We had the fish and chips and a fantastic Wagyu burger. The service was nice and the happy hour specials were great for beer drinkers. We'll definitely return! There's several things on the menu we want to try.
We enjoyed a wonderful meal while visiting Houston a couple weeks ago. We arrived for dinner and enjoyed a table on the upstairs deck overlooking the river. The weather was perfect and the view was lovely. Our server was friendly and efficient! For my appetizer I had a cup of the potato leek soup and it was really delicious. For my entree I had the chicken pot pie and it was unbelievable. So flavorful and thick inside. It was also quite big--I couldn't eat the entire thing. Everyone else I dined with was very happy too--one had the shepherd's pie, another the steak salad and the third the braised short rib. It was a nearly perfect meal!
I ordered a takeout meal for lunch today that consisted of the devilled eggs and shepherd's pie. This was a hit and miss experience.Let's start off with the miss, the devilled eggs. I love the idea of what they are trying to accomplish here. Devilled eggs topped with fried chicken in a bed of fried onion straws and chopped fresh and grilled onions. The chicken was good and the fried onions were fantastic. But the eggs themselves were not that great. They just didn't have much flavor. I would venture to say I make better devilled eggs at home, albeit not as exciting to look at.The hit though was the shepherd's pie. It was delish. Mashed potatoes were perfect. Veggies were cooked perfectly and the meat was quite tasty. Highly recommend it.Overall, I would say it's a win and I would recommend coming here. Although, for $25, it might not be the best value.
Elisha was a great server! She gave me phenomenal service along with a very warm and positive experience. The food and drinks were amazing. This is the best service I have received in sooooo long from a waitress. I will definitely be back to visit. Thanks Elisha :)
I come here every time I am in town from Los Angeles. I normally get the shepherds pie but could not make up my mind about any else on menu. The bartender suggested the SHORT RIB and it was AWESOME. No knife needed very tender and full of flavor. See you again soon for my new favorite dish.
