The food is good...it always is. My only complaint this time was the service. Neither of us got what we ordered - - - we both asked for the Po Boy platter (one with crawfish, the other with catfish). The waiter insisted that the Po Boy platter did NOT come with a Po Boy. I even pointed it out to the waiter on the menu and said "we want the Po Boy platter with a Po Boy. I got fried crawfish, hush puppies and fries. No Po Boy. My son got fried catfish, hush puppies and fries. Also, no Po Boy. We were in a hurry so we just ate and left. Again, the food was delicious. Just not what we ordered.
This is a good restaurant, but I think we caught them on an off night. Shrimp poâboys, jambalaya, and gumbo were excellent. However, the crab bisque was lukewarm and the wine was under chilled. The lobster ravioli was strongly pitched. It was pretty good, but not $57 good. Thatâs my bad. It was marked âmarket priceâ, and I failed to ask what that was. Overall, the evening was a bit of a disappointment. Weâll be back because we have experienced this restaurant at its best, and itâs best is pretty good.
Great service, but the dish I ordered was not that great. The fish was thin, small, way over cooked and chewy. The cost to quality ratio was way off, way way off. On a better note, he bread pudding was outstanding. Not sure Iâd return though.
Awesome meal and experience as always!
We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner! Everything was cooked to perfection and the service was impeccable. Schilliciâs is always our choice for entertaining visitors.
Always our favorite for celebrating special occasions. The food is outstanding, a little pricey, but we are willing to spend a little more because the food is exceptional and the portions are generous. The service is always first rate as well. Highly recommend schilleciâs!
Server was great, but food was very unremarkable and extremely overpriced!
Best fish in town. Save room for the bread pudding!
My daughter is a budding foodie and has been asking to eat here for about a year, so I decided to surprise her for our foodie Friday Funday date tonight. The small, family-run environment was really nice, and Chef David Brittain was kind enough to pause in checking in with his customers so she could snag a picture with him. We were super blessed to be served by the stupendous Nicole, who was knowledgeable and eager to help us to find the best dishes to match our tastes for the evening. Each table had a bowl of chips to crunch on while we waited for our starter of Crawfish Mac and Cheese Stuffed Eggrolls. You have to try these! Nicole brought us a small sample of the tarter sauce, which was different from any tarter sauce I have tasted before. It was really delicious on the chips. We were also treated to a sampling of an off-the-menu item by Chef David. It was a poke bowl of sorts made with bluefin ahi tuna, coconut milk, coconut cream, red and green onions, cilantro, and serrano peppers. It was cool, creamy, and delicious. We are hoping to see it on the menu soon. For our entree, we shared Barramundi served over a cream corn and crawfish cake, finished with roasted red peppers, mushrooms, and delicious honey mustard, rosemary, and wine butter sauce. It was delicious and a huge portion that we shared and I still had enough leftover for my lunch today. Dessert was too difficult to choose, so we ordered 2! We shared the bread pudding with praline sauce and the chocolate lava cake. The praline sauce on the bread pudding was lovely, smooth, and creamy.. really nice, but the show stopper dessert was the rich, decadent, chocolatey goodness of the lava cake. It was served with vanilla ice cream that just really offset the warm, gooey chocolate cake. It came with two small cakes, so we planned to share one with family, but it was so good it didn't make it to them! We really enjoyed every part of our experience at Shilleciâs and recommend you go visit.
Great experience! Love the food and atmosphereâ¦. We have made this our annual anniversary dining location!
