One of the worst dinners I have had in many years at any restaurant. Table was noisy next to servers station, sliding door to patio open and closed on 100 degree day. Manager was finally understanding when I asked to keep patio door closed due to excessive heat. 100 degree day! Was hoping for special dinner with friends to celebrate my wife’s birthday. Did not even feel like taking home leftovers just wanted to go home! Very disappointed!

Soups were salted Steaks dry Glassed fishy smell

Food and service were very good. The noise level was too loud and somewhat uncomfortable, especially for a business dinner.

First time visiting this location. It was my 49th birthday. The food was delicious. I was shocked that bread & butter was considered am appetizers and you were charged for it. ?‍♀️

We chose Mastro's Ocean Club in The Woodlands to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. We'd never been there before and wanted a very nice restaurant to have a nice evening out. Our server, Audra, was excellent. She new the menu, wine list, drinks, etc without looking and provided exceptional service. The food was fantastic as well. However, we were very disappointed to see many people out of dress code. Shorts, t shirts, flip flops, etc. was the norm by most of the people there. Don't stress a dress code and how strictly it's enforced if you're not going to enforce it. Really took away from the ambiance.

Excellent meal. Very good service from Austin. Complimentary dessert.

way too cold (I had to step outside to warm up) and very loud - impossible to carry a conversation

I am faithful Mastro's follower. I used to frequent the Galleria location and never had a complaint. Since moving away from Houston, I now go to the Woodlands location. This is our new go to place. Often, we just pop in for a drink and a bite to eat at the bar in the late afternoon. This past Saturday I made a reservation since my very good friend from England is here visiting. Wrong choice... I can honestly say this is the worst experience I have ever had at Mastro's. The service was absolutely terrible. First it was the lack of communication with the hostess. We came in early to have a drink at the bar (bar staff were great!). We were told they'd come and get us to be seated at the time of our booking. That time came and went. I approached them and I was told the table I had requested would be vacated momentarily. Long story short, we ended up being seated over 30 minutes later than my booking time. I had to repeatedly go up to get an update. I didn't mind the delay so much. It was the complete disregard those ladies showed toward the situation. Next it was the waiter. He was very inattentive, right from the very beginning. Just getting a drink order in was a frustrating exercise in futility. Waiter did eventually show up to get our drink order, then the food order. He then disappeared again. Someone else delivered our food and it turns out my steak order was given to my friend and vice versa. Hers was supposed to be medium rare with truffle butter on top and mine was medium, just plain. We tried to see if the waiter was around or would come and ask if the food was alright but no luck. We decided to just eat what we had so we could go home. This was an extreme let down for my husband and I who had told our friend how fond we are of Mastro's and what a great restaurant it is Let's not even mention the prices we pay which should be matched by the service, quality of food and overall experience.

The restaurant is beautiful inside. Very appealing. The ribeye steak was flavorless. I think they must rely on the sauces that are available to combine with the steak. But the steak does not stand on its own. It was actually pretty disappointing. The rest of the food enjoyed by the party of four was excellent. It was our anniversary and they surprised us with a Beautiful and delicious dessert tray at the end of the meal. The service was excellent.

Skyler was very knowledgeable of the menu and helpful to find something for my picky daughter. We really enjoyed the piano player and singer, I do think if the bar had been more full, the service may have been more attentive.
