Tex-Mex Salad Mexican

The margarita blanco was great, strong enough to have an alcohol bite without overpowering the flavor. Service was excellent. The food was really good but definitely on the salty side. Another margarita would have cut the salty down though. ?

Excellent food, but exceptional service! Our waiter Anthony went over and beyond! We didn't have to ask or want for anything. Our drinks, chips and salsa were constantly being refilled before we got to the bottom of the bowls. Our food came perfect (huge portions) and was excellent. We are not huge TexMex fans but we will definitely be returning. Best carnitas and fajitas we've had so far. The Manger came around to check on every table.*Bonus, the bathrooms were very clean too! This is our new go-to spot!

My wife and I love this restaurant but the service that night was poor. Our waitress totally ignored us after taking our order someone else brought our food and she didn't come to refill our drinks until we got ready to leave. She spent most of her time behind the bar playing the bartender.

In 42 years I’ve never felt discriminated on until today. I understand it was a day that was busy due to a concert. But I stood in front of the bartender with my body up against the bar for over 45 minutes waiting for my drink while others around me one after another and another and another kept getting their orders filled. At one point I had a customer asked me for a drink thinking I was a waitress, I’m not sure if it’s because I’m Hispanic or because I was right next to the bar. When he realized that I wasn’t a waitress he apologized and asked the bartender to take my order. The bartender asked me what I would like then turned around and completely ignored it. A lady behind me placed her orders of two drinks pay for them received them and apologized and said I’m sorry I didn’t know you were ahead of me. After the bartender & waiters continued to get orders and fill them I asked a different bartender for a drink once again I was ignored. Same customer came back ordered another round of drinks and asked are you still waiting for a drink I told him yes he then ordered his Drinks paid for them receive them then told the bartender if he would place my order I then said no he knows what I’ve ordered he is just ignored it. For whatever reason he then asked me to place my order with the waitress although no one at the bar had done so I did. I placed an order with the waitress I paid for my order then proceeded to wait for my drinks. Waiting an additional 20 minutes and no drinks served. Then with tears down my face a waiter asked me if I was OK. I told him no. Obviously I’m not WHITE enough to get a drink around here even though everyone is Hispanic just like me. He then asked me what type of drink I wanted, I placed my order he waited for my order to get done and finally I received it. In 42 years I have never felt so discriminated on! If I could I would give them no stars.

The food is good but holy cow those prices are high. A jumbo margarita was $16! They call it jumbo but it was probably 4-5 sips. It’s served in a martini style glass which if you were to pour it into a traditional glass I bet it would be the same amount of liquid as a smaller size. Not to mention I could barely taste any tequila. So for a lemonade, sprite and my margarita I paid $23 total, for those three drinks! The queso was $18 from what I recall! As a family we love going out to local texmex so I’m familiar with other area restaurants and what they charge. I’m really shocked over the prices and feel like the gouging is quite unfair. We will not be returning to El Tiempo.

Worst experience I have ever had for my first time here. Ordered early with my little sister she got the kids pepperoni pizza and I got the fajita nachos. My grandmother and mother ordered 10 mins after, my sister got the cheese pizza instead of pepperoni the waiter gave us all teas instead of the drinks we ordered. I waited 2 hours for my order meanwhile my family’s already done with their food and got raw barely cooked fajitas. Never again very sloppy and poor listeners.

This review is for MARKET STREET location in The Woodlands!!!!!Worse food and experience EVER! I don’t even know how to sum it up, but I will start with this…THE MANAGER touched my food to make sure I was NOT lying about not getting the 6.99 sauce that I ordered. Now, to Go backwards, my son ordered 1/2 pound fajitas and received 5 slices of very very low quality meat that is supposedly beef for the 38.99. I ordered the shrimp and received three shrimp!!! I asked three different ppl if they were serious about the three shrimp and all said yes. Right about this same time, that I’m steaming over the service, quality and taste of the food, we hear the lady behind us say, “Didn’t I order a shrimp quesadilla?? There is no shrimp on this…”I get that new restaurants take time to mature, but cheating patrons rudely and serving them far less than what they are paying for is not ethical. Then, to touch my food???!!! At that point, I through the 100 bucks and the table and was glad I had cash so I could get out of that experience. Me and my company have pardoned the vintage location when we were in that area. I was overly excited to have the woodlands open a new location that was close to me and the mall. We had just ended our Spring break trip and went to have a nice (or, so we thought dinner)!!Please do better for the area and your customers. And, know that most customers don’t need to lie about a 6.99 topping. If your waitress told you that the customer didn’t get it - believe her and don’t ever touch a customers Food again in life!!!!I am still in shock…. But, willStop writing. My 16 year old son just asked me if I said everything because it was so much. I’m sure I missed a lot, but just do better for the brand. Oh, and use the right meat that meat is not what the other locations use.

The food here used to be good but has declined considerably. It's very expensive for what you get and I always feel rushed to eat and get out.

The service was prompt and friendly. Jorge did forget to bring the lemons I asked for my water, I reminded him and he brought them. There were 4 of us in our party, two couples and he also got our bill wrong. Some of our items were on their bill. He graciously fixed it. The food was really good. I ordered the Las Vegas (17.99) with the chicken fajitas and they are seasoned really well. My husband ordered the Mariachi (19.99) and was very satisfied with it as well. We ordered queso and not knowing there were 4 different sizes, the large was brought out. $15.99 ouch!!! It must be the location as to why the prices are so high. Whatever the reason, the food is good but we will not return as the prices are just too high for Mexican food.

Today I went to dinner with a few friends. This place need to get their stuff together. My service was beyond poor. I had to ask for each drink and for us to get our dinner. The Manger didn't want to change out our servicer. We waited 30 mins to get our check after asking for it. I would rather go to McDonald's or eat hot dog from a gas station then to come back to this place. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THIS PLACE.
