Have been regularly ordering (home delivery) from their Traditional menu - always a standard 3 dishes from their traditional menu - over last 2 years and despite their recent dip in quality, continued to be their patron. About a week ago, went to pick up my regular order and looking at the bill realized they charged me extra for replacing Beef with Chicken in a dish, which was never done before. On my query the young man told me that the rates are set by the management. I told him I had no issues with the rates or the cost but the principal that if you were going to charge me additional cost, you should tell me upfront and not just charge my credit card without my knowledge especially since it had never been done before. He was pretty rude and didn't seem to agree with me. I asked him if I could speak to the Manger/Owners. He refused and told me that I could f..off (his exact words) from the restaurant. To avoid an ugly situation and getting to a zero sum game, I left quietly. I know that restaurants are hard pressed to find help now a days, but never knew it has become so bad. Went thru many days of internal deliberations on what I could have said to set off the young man to be so rude. I thought best is to share my experience with the community.
I ordered from China Bridge for the first through Grub Hub and was extremely disappointed. Ordered orange chicken, which was so chewy my kids spit it out and didn't want to eat it, which they rarely do. I ordered the Kung pao tofu and pad thai with chicken. The Kung pao tasted bland with zero flavor and the tofu tasted burnt, the pad thai tasted like pad thai I made from a box at the supermarket. I spent $50 with delivery and basically had to throw all the food away, since no one would it. I miss good Chinese and thai food. Not recommended.
walked in today at around 6 and was greeted by a teenager who looks hispanic and has short hair. asked if i could sit down anywhere and he didn’t hear me the first time because he had his AirPods in. he spoke to me in a rude way and said “sit there” and pointed at a messy table. walked right out the door. never coming back here again , bad service and ugly hispanic boy.
Run basically by kids with poor service! I called to place an order at 20 minutes to 9:00 and they said the kitchen closes at 8:30. Guess what close at 8:30 then not 9:00!!!! FALSE ADVERTISEMENT
Ordered fried rice for takeout. Receipt said fried rice on the bag. Inside the bag was lo mein.Aside from the order being wrong, the food wasn’t great either. The general Tso’s chicken was very ketchupy and the lo mein was pretty bland. Would not recommend.
Pick up order, ordered online through their website. There are five egg foo young dishes and at $10.50 I had assumed it would come with the brown sauce. NO. This was my first time ordering here. The bag for pickup is stapled shut, so advice is open the bag, or be disappointed twice. Once when you get home and see that the order is incomplete to any assumptions, and again when you call to find out where the sauce is, only to have them tell you that ordering online is different (somehow) and that the brown sauce is two dollars more. There is no where on the website to order brown sauce. So, I remain confused. I’ll try to do better next time.
Their traditional spicy Chinese dishes are amazing. I don't really order anything else, but if you like Sichuan food, I highly recommend China Bridge.*Do NOT order their curry, it's beyond awful.
Honestly I’ve ordered here before and they have been excellent. The last few times have been bad tho. From forgetting items to the egg drop tasting like they put bad water in it. (Like dirty water from a creek). The first bad experience I had I took a bite of something like a wood chip. Not sure what it was but it wasn’t edible. Not a positive experience like I had in the past. The past few months have been pretty bad.
Tried their General TSO and it was good. The fried rice was a little bland.Their lunch special prices are the best I've seen in Houston.
Horrible experience. Food was cold.Spare ribs were all bone no meat. Beef and broccoli was so spicy it was inedible. I called to tell them. The guy on the phone replied with ok. Not an apology nothing just ok.Terrible restaurant
