My boyfriend and I ordered some drinks and fries and was given our order at 9:55 pm on a Tuesday. We just sat at one of their tables that had an umbrella when one of their kitchen staff climbs on our table trying to unscrew the umbrella while we were still at our table. He didn’t say excuse me could you guys move? Or give us a heads up that they are closing, nope! He just climbed on top of our table and completely violated our space, to make matters worse the dust from the umbrella rained into our drinks and fries, then I politely asked the man to wait until we finish eating our order. He didn’t say sorry or apologize instead stared at us mumbled something and left. A minute later a white lady comes out who I assume is a manager and stares us down as you would an unruly child. Then I told her she shouldn’t have served us drinks and food at last minute if she doesn’t have patience to wait until we are done eating. No respect or apology was offered for the way we were treated. I am sure if we had a certain skin color we wouldn’t have been treated with such disgusting disrespect. Avoid this place because they are VERY RUDE
My low rating is based on my service experience. I got the blackened fish tacos with a side of fries. I thought the tacos were great and the fries perfectly crispy. Though I won’t return, which is disappointing because the food is so good.
First 2 visits were great, through a feed deliver service My husband and I always get fried oysters basket. Oysters tasted fresh and delicious. Unfortunately, 3rd visit with same order was a huge disappointment. My husband ordered at the counter and brought food home (7 minute drive). He said service was great. Food still plenty warm upon arrival home. But the Oysters were very soggy and 4 oysters in my order were completely inedible, like chewing on a piece of rubber. The fries were overcooked and like rocks. Everything had taste of old, overused oil. It will ve a while before we go back
Tasty food, affordable options, nice to snack on while at the dog park, clean space, and speedy service. Enjoyable atmosphere if you can eat outside on a nice day since there are no indoor seating options. I Will definitely be eating here again.
My co-workers and I ordered take out for lunch, and they left all of the sauces for the boudin balls and hush puppies out, a drink, and the blue cheese for the spicy shrimp appetizer was missing too. The shrimp was soggy and mushy also. When I went back, they blamed us for the shrimp being bad, saying we waited to long to eat it. Then she insisted that the blue cheese was in the bag, and essentially called me a liar. She gave me the sauces and the drink, still didn't replace the blue cheese, and refused to replace the nasty shrimp. I told her that was bad business, and she continued to blame us. This place is officially off of our list for lunch places now.
Save your money! The fried fish was chewy and unflavorful. Same as the sweet potato fries. There's much better seafood places in the area.
Best tacos in town. Love that it close after midnight ,I ordered al pastor tacos and omg chicken both were amazing and the omg corn was great too.definitely this place is a keeper
I ordered the fish basket with a cup of gumbo. The fish was a nice size and portion. However, it lacked any kind of flavor. If they added some type of seasoning to the fish or batter, then it would improve this item. I would not order this again. The gumbo however was great! It was nicely stocked full of meats and seafood. I would definitely order this item again.
The fried catfish resembled a Burger King hash brown, the shrimp was not appetizing (fried or grilled), and the crab was very dry. It came with a cup of butter and seasoning to dip. The crab came with nothing— not a potato, a sausage, or a corn. A 1/2 pound (one cluster) of just dry crab for $20. A frozen pina colada came out the consistency of a cocktail. The staff were very terse and uninviting from asking questions about the menu to making modifications to asking for a straw which was handed to me without a wrapper with the employees bare hand. 0/10 recommend this restaurant, but the overall park is nice and there are other restaurants around you can try too.
Wanted to try this place after hearing good things. Once I got there, the bartender had a frown on her face, she wasn’t friendly and it seems I annoyed her when asked what did she recommend for a first timer. The drink was tasty however I believe she forgot the alcohol. Definitely 2 out of 10. Disappointed with my first time experience. Wouldn’t recommend.
