Had a nice Mexican meal at Mi Covina in the Colony, Tx.Great Guacamole, tasty food and quick service. I especially want to compliment our serverJoshua. He was friendly, informative, professional and did a really great job. He deserves a huge pat on the back. Keep up the good job and remember Jesus loves you!

Joined a group at Mi Cocina in The Colony last night and if that is an example of service and food quality they have seen the last of me. Not prepared for our group at all, mistakes on orders, orders brought partly and people almost finished before they brought the rest of the order. The cheese in my cheese enchiladas was cold and not melted. Lastly they included a 20% gratuity that included the sales and liquor taxes in the calculation; meaning they got a tip on that also.

The is lady was our server at the bar area on my wife’s Birthday in the colony. she was amazing ! great service I highly recommend this Micocina.

Was in town with my boyfriend, and we love Mexican food and this restaurant happened to be right in front of our hotel. The food was yummy but if you’re a picky eater make sure to ask what veggies are included inside your meal. We ordered a steak quesadilla which wasn’t on the menu but the waiter was very nice and made it happen! We didn’t realize it had onions in it which was okay but just a heads up for the picky people. I also had the Dilemma which was yummy, make sure to order with your tequila preference which is something I forgot to do. Overall very nice restaurant and nice staff! We’ll be back soon!!

My husband and I understand current staffing issues. We give restaurants a lot of leeway for that and we have overtipped 30-50% of our check for the last two years in appreciation of serve staff. We eat at this location once or twice a month. However our experience here yesterday had nothing to do with a lack of staffing. We arrived for lunch and were promptly seated. Our waiter came and took our order, but it did take longer than usual (so we were ready with our entire order). We had been at a funeral all morning, and were thirsty and ready for a nice lunch. We placed our order for everything. Our expectation was that we would receive our drinks, chips, and appetizer dip in a fairly short period of time. Nope. People seated after us received their chips and beverages. Not us. It took 10-15 minutes. Our waiter returned with our beverages, chips, and appetizer dip...AND OUR LUNCH all on one tray. He plopped it all down in front of us and left. AND NEVER CHECKED BACK. Not once. It would have been nice; we wanted to order something else. He waited on his other tables, cleared other tables (which shouldn't take precedence over taking care of customers who are still dining when there are many open tables and no one waiting to be seated near the end of lunch service), and disappeared into the kitchen. After finishing our lunch and waiting nearly 20 minutes for him to return still yet, my husband finally went to where the person who seemed to be the manager was sitting two tables away and asked for our check. She retrieved it and our server (who must have been alerted) also came to our table. We paid him cash and he said he would be back with our change. Even through all of this, we planned to leave a 15% tip (because we expect to). He returned with our receipt...and no change. Told us to have a nice day and left. There was no way I was leaving a tip at that point (which would have been much more than what he chose to keep). It's the first time I can ever remember NOT leaving a tip. I hope this waiter understands why...

From the greeters to the wait staff to the food, it was A+ all the way. Nothing but courtesy and efficiency throughout our meal. The restaurant was crowded but we never felt rushed. Food was hit and fresh hen it arrived at the table. A bit more expensive than some other TexMes restaurants, but we’ll worth the price.

I came here with my friend for a casual dinner and food was great. Spicy Jalapeños Margarita was yummm. Service was top notch.

We ate here tonight Cameron took great care of us!Just wanted to give him shout out for his patience great service and sense of humor! Even though they were about to close they never rushed us and gave excellent service until the very end,his manager Roger Garcia was also very nice keep up the good work gentleman the community needs great service like this to detox after a long day thanks again!

12/26/21 - We just had a great meal with friends who were visiting from out of town. They had never been to Mi Cocina before and they LOVED it! The food was amazing but the highlight of the visit was our server Josalyn. Such a pleasant, attentive young lady. She was totally on the ball for our party of 13 and the out of town guests were blown away by the outstanding service that we got.

We have been to this location several times and today was VERY disappointing with the lack of service. When we walked in it took quite a long time for anyone to greet us. Finally a man, who we assume to be the manager, got up from a table and came to the hostess stand to let us know someone would be with us soon. A few minutes later, the hostess came to take our names for the waiting list. We stood in the bar while waiting 30 minutes for our table. During this time, there were several employees standing around, multiple tables not cleaned, and the entire time the “manager” sat at the same table talking with a female employee. After we were seated both the manager and the female employee finally got up, but did nothing to help their staff or patrons. The food was good but the lackluster service was very lacking, and I contribute this to horrible leadership! Hopefully, they’ll turn it around.
