Great show by Billy Bob & the Boxmasters at Lava Cantina! Played a good two sets with a mix of old and some new songs off their newly released album. If you ever get a chance, I would recommend seeing them (especially in a venue like Lava).
My friends and I visited Lava Cantina on a whim for National Tequila Day. We had the best time. We loved the karaoke. The drinks were great, and the food was pretty good. We've come back now on a couple other occasions and had an equally great time. The manager, David, has been really nice and hospitable the times we've gone. The servers are all great as well. We will keep returning to this spot because it is a gem.
Spent my birthday here...it was amazing. The band was awesome. DJ Phil was absolutely amazing. The staff consistently checked on my tables and made sure we had what we needed all night. NEO SOUL SUNDAYS is a whole vibe...i highly encourage getting there early as the line was wrapped around the corner. Also purchase tickets and tables online well in advance
They have a black day. Which is Sunday. But they are taxing the black community. $20 entry fee, $20 valet, and $24 for a " buffet" which ain't nothing but some wings, a bagged salad and some frozen pizza. And you can only go through once and limited to 3 slices of pizza. That's not a buffet. It's a plate of football party food! The music was amazing the atmosphere was great. I loved seeing my people looking grown and sexy. But they need to change the " buffet " to a plate. I would have given them 5 stars nut they lost two for the ridiculous prices

Fabulous dining and great wings. A Margarita cost $1500( Didn't Buy it) but who knows, might hit the lottery one day. Pizza was ok but cold Great atmosphere
I was there for superbowl game, fun atmosphere, fun, great food.
A friend had raved about Lava Cantina. We went on a whim. We got there 1 hour and 15 minutes before the band played. The hostess informed us, the band was moved inside and we had 1.25 hours to eat; was that ok? We agreed and are glad we did. We split a combo order of awesome Fajitas. Wonderfully seasoned. Ice tea was fresh and tasty. Service was quick and professional. Atmosphere was fun with old MTV style videos. We plan on returning.
