We loved the rustic setting. The meat quality was good and the sauce was to my liking. It was reasonably priced. We will go back!
Love this place. Great BBQ. My rib-eye steak practically melted in my mouth. I had a baked potato and fried okra as sides and everything was awesome.
first time visit ,would highly recommend ,brisket and spicy sausage were fab ,great stop off for lunch ?

We loved our visit to the Hard Eight. The bbq was very good. We tried different meats and enjoyed them all. The sides were good as well. Loved the bbq stuffed jalapeños!
If you don't like standing in line in a smoke filled room, I don't recommend it. The prices are high, but you get a lot of food. I'd rather have smaller portions and less cost. The food was good though.
The line looked on but it only took about 15 minutes to make it through.The iced tea was very good.The meat and selection was very nice.You may want to make time to take a shower after going there because you'll smell like barbecue for days and it smells so good.My total for the tray was $34 for 1 person.
Hard Eight BBQ is an amazing local BBQ restaurant that any local or tourist needs to try. The food is delicious and well priced for the amount of food you get. I can't wait to go back again.
I've lived in the Colony since 2020. I finally tried Hard Eight BBQ tonight. This was my first time and this was my last time. I really wish I could get a refund. I would really like to know what the people who gave this place 5 stars ordered. For reals though. I couldn't believe they charged me $11.34 for the two ribs pictured. These ribs had no flavor, were dry and chewing them were a real chore. I couldn't believe it! The sides had my mouth on fire. I mean, who makes potato salad spicy? And why? All the pepper in the beans aren't enough to set a mouth in flames? This is NOT true Texas BBQ. All of you who gave this place a 5, please take a trip to East Plano and get some Winners BBQ. At least you won't get ripped off over there. I'm truly disgusted with my hard eight experience tonight. Never again. I was making better BBQ than this, and with more flavor, in my teenage years. My ribs were always tender. My total bill was almost $17. I got ripped off... and I'm still hungry.
