I love Davioâs, well at least I did. We would go quite often, and I selected it for my birthday last night because my entire family loves it. We were one of probably 5 or 6 tables in the rather large space and it was such a bad experience. Our waiter was actually great, but we had a few issues and I was so disappointed in how the manager handled it. We ordered wineâ¦a bottle of my favoriteâ¦mind you a 204% mark-up off retail prices, so even more at actual cost. I tried it and it was awful. The vintage didnât even match what was listed on the menu, but something was off. He asked to let it breatheâ¦never been asked that before at any restaurant, but thatâs fine, and it wasnât any better. He switched out the wine for something else. No big deal. Then my husband ordered a gluten free dish (they have an amazing gluten free menu), but it comes out completely different than what was on the menu. This was when the manager came over and explained they only had one kind of gluten free pastaâ¦ok, thatâs fine, but not what the menu said. He seemed to argue with us for a while on this because apparently we werenât understanding. He finally looked at the menu and confirmed it was on there. Found out they ran out and just substituted. Wouldnât you have asked first of that worked? He had it switched out. Fine. More than anything I was just annoyed because I was hoping for a nice family dinner and everything seemed to go wrong. It wasnât that big of a deal, but I was absolutely shocked that the manager didnât do anything at all to make it better. Yes, he traded out the wine, yes, he traded out the dishâ¦.but how about a dessert on the house or comp one of the kids meals? Seems like customer service is never anywhere to be found these days, and sadly how he handled our experience made me not want to come back anymore. The prices have gotten outrageous, which is OK for the quality of the food, but not if this is how the experience goes along with it.
We enjoyed an anniversary dinner here. The service was fabulous and the food and drinks were delicious (although steaks were a little more done than ordered).
Had brunch we were the only ones in the restaurant it was perfect. Our waiter was outstanding and the popovers were to die for!
Another great experience. All levels of the food were good to great. The staff, like most places these days seemed to be shorthanded and things took a while. Our waitress was good but slow as she had more than she could handle. I highly recommend, but unless people go back to work wait times may be a problem.
The place is beautiful inside. Our waitress, Shakra was very pleasant, thorough and friendly. My Filet was amazing and the lobster Risotto was fantastic.
Felt like staff were all new. Waitress didn't know the menu. Our food came out and it wasn't close to correct. Nightly special was sea bass scallops and risotto. They were out of the sea bass so substituted halibut (which was fine) but the entree came out with fish, scallops and a small salad. No risotto. They had to remake it. Pasta dishes were clumpy....big wad of pasta with Bolognese on top. It was all stuck together. Expected this to be tossed with Bolognese in the pan, but it was just poured over top. Steak was really good, but that was it. Service staff seemed to be going through the motions. We asked for direction and basically, she suggested WAY too much food. Meatballs were $10 each. They were good, but we didn't need 3 for the table as suggested. Dinner took 2+ hours and while they say they pride themselves on service, our waitress had 5+ tables and couldn't keep up. I will not go back. I love restaurants like this, but they totally missed the mark.
Started with the oysters Rockefeller, they were amazing. Then we got a half order of pasta which is a good size for one person, my wife got the 8oz filet which was cooked perfectly. I got the 16oz dry aged ribeye. It was a little blue cheesy for my liking but thatâs also dry aged. It came out well done when I asked for medium but they were quick to fix it and bring me another one asap. It was perfect. We had the mashed potatoâs as a side and they were pretty basic. Very dry and not much flavor. We got the chocolate lava cake and vanilla ice cream for dessert and it was also very very good. We will be back for sure, maybe get broccolini off Mac n cheese next time :)
The seafood tower was absolutely amazing and the rolls are homemade and are absolutely to die for. We ordered two different pastas and they were OK.
We really enjoyed our seafood towers (one hot, one cold). We have been in search of decent seafood for over a month, and experienced one disappointment after another. Davio's delivered! And the service was an added bonus. Samantha, our server, was super attentive and friendly. We'll definitely come back!
Food, service, environment was great. Will definitely return. Only issue I had is that the bread at the beginning of the meal was undercooked and had a doughy/raw interior.
