10 out of 10 highly recommend. This yummy food knocked my socks off. I can't wait to go back but it's dangerously close to where i live and i can't be going there all the time lol. The prices are very affordable and the serving sizes are huge. I digress.Don't let the exterior of this joint turn you off as it is a little drab and looks closed honestly. Once you walk in, on the contrary, the ambiance and dining area is bright, clean, and very nice.Go eat here!! AUTHENTIC AND DELICIOUS
Service was great, and staff was very nice. The restaurant layout was not so great though. We were placed in a very tight booth, and had no privacy whatsoever with every customer walking by us to get to their table.The food, for the price, was actually very disappointing. The tortillas did not seem to be made in house, and the beans/rice that come as sides were in very small amounts. All in all, the food was subpar and have had better quality from more fast casual chains like Rosa's. Their tortillas aren't even comparable.All in all, food was 2 stars but service was 4 stars, so it averages to 3 stars. If you get a table that has the lake view, you'll be lucky, and it might give you something better to look at other than the inner decor and lackluster food itself.
Decided to finally try it. As soon as we walked in there was a strong sewer smell... ordered Carne asada..it smelled and tasted so bad and looked green. My friends refused to try it but they said it smells and looks bad too.I asked if they could take it back and one of the guys said he's not a manager so he can't take the decision of taking it off the bill ? I asked if they could bring me just some queso ( no ground meat) . It did ended up with meat and they brought some complementary tortillas. They ended up not charging for the bad dish but for sure I won't be returning.
Claudia served us and was amazing, even gave us space to have a great time!The handmade corn tortillas, Margaritas and the Monterey steak made a fabulous meal!
Cockroaches! Used to love coming here but the last 2 times we dined in there was a huge cockroach within a foot of our table. We told a staff member and he just stomped on it and left it there while it was still twitching. The atmosphere is also dated and looks dirty. Food is okay if you get past the thought of roaches. Red salsa tastes like well water as well as the margaritas. I Won’t come back until Gordon Ramsey fixes it.

Nice atmosphere, the staff is friendly, food is very good and overall cleanliness is ok. We were seated out on the back patio and I looked up at the ceiling fans and there was a decent amount of dust accumulated, also the bathrooms were not properly maintained and quite disgusting.
I like this restaurant a lot. They have great food and a great environment. It's a tad bit too relaxed as far as the hostess and employees dress code. But our server was amazing. She up-sold us with extra shot in our yummy margaritas. The food was so good! I had the Pablano pepper entree. The server was attentive enough but not too much. She was very good, I wish I knew her name, if I find the receipt I'll update this.The place was pretty slow, it was a week day but it worries me. I dont want them to go out of business. My daughter loves the fountain out front much! The decor is very pleasing to look at. Thanks for bringing such great Mexican cuisine to The Colony.
I go to this wonderful restaurant nearly every time I visit my mom and sister at work. It's inexpensive and the food is ALWAYS good. The servers are friendly and we always feel welcome.They have a seating area outside, as well, with a nice lush green backyard.My favorite dish is the tamales with queso instead of chili con carne.I highly recommend dining here. ?
Server did a fabulous job and food was amazing. I want to draw special attention to the man bussing and cleaning the tables. FOCUSED! STRATEGIC! Very meticulous with the cleaning of them! I was very impressed at watching him! Kudos!
