Honestly very upset with this buffet place , was there around 7:15 pm Memorial Day . Very few people dinning , and very very basic food selection 3 adults and 3 kids none were happy with the food selection ... Adult price is $10.99 kids $6.99 and senior $9.99 .... First and last time visiting this place in Texas City , been to others Hartz restaurant and never been this BAD !!!
I know a lot of people who are looking for jobs. These employees should be fired and replaced by someone who needs a job. Rude employees. I have never heard of a chicken place that is always out of chicken. You can see when they close up early every night that they are toting bags of chicken and side orders home. I would bet my life on it that they didn't pay for it. Their website states they close at 9:30, but they actually close whenever they are good and ready to close. The employees stand around talking. No wonder there isn't any chcken. The place is dirty and the food is nasty. The employees are unkept. Don't go to this Hartz.

I was charged $8.29 plus tax for 12 gizzards, a roll, and a drink. It was supposed to come with a side. What can you expect from teenagers who don't care about doing there job correctly. I won't be back.
I ordered a 7 piece chicken tender with mashed potatoes.. and a dozen of soft fried liver!!. Never will I ever leave that business without checking my food first… only received five tenders… and the liver was like they refried it… it was so hard and black … it was nothing more than trash… Who is supervising the cooks?… I had take out four years from this business… and was never so disappointed until today!!!
If you want fried chicken and fish - this is the place to go in Texas City, TX. The buffet is all you can eat with salad and side dishes.
Went their for dinner and my husband got the chicken spaghetti and there was a bone and the meat of the chicken. The bone was at least two, to two and a half inch long and it jabbed him in the top of his mouth and behind his tooth now he has a sore mouth. I told the manager and all he had to say was "OKAY"
This was my first time ever eating at a Hartz chicken and after this visit they will continue to have me as a customer. The food portions were huge. Way more than expected. I never eat fish from drive thru restaurant but my boyfriend ordered it so I tried it and was shocked how great it was. I got the chicken and it was so moist on the inside and super crunchy on the outside. Not greasy at all. All the food was hot and fresh. I'm so impressed. I just wanted to say thank you to the employees for making such a wonderful dinner for my family. See y'all next time!! We came thru the drive thru at 6pm on 12/16 at the Texas city location on Palmer hwy.
Buffet is fabulous. They have variety of food.
