Was seated as soon as we walked into the restaurant. Ordered and received food and drinks in about 15 minutes. The food was good nothing outstanding but not bad. Service was very fast and friendly. Prices are a little higher than expected.
Went in and got a table, waited over 15 mins. Lots of young workers stood around laughing and talking. Nobody took our drink order. They truly weren’t that busy.. The table after us, already had their drinks at this point. We got up and left. The salsa is picante from a jar. If you want authentic Mexican- this isn’t it. It used to be good years ago. Not sure what’s happened.
Our server, Riley, was very attentive & helpful. The green sauce & salsa were both very good. I got the Cozumel chicken salad which was amazing. It’s also huge, so you should definitely have leftovers. Husband got beef fajitas. Meat had good flavor. Regular margarita was pretty good. Watermelon margarita was awesome! We got watermelon margarita & mango margarita to-go (& had them aprox 3 hours later, but kept them refrigerated) and for some reason they weren’t nearly as good as the ones we had while at the restaurant. But we will definitely be back, we just won’t get to-go drinks.
While the food is good, management is shady. Upon being seated, we left a phone in the lobby. We immediately went to the lobby and was told no phone was turned in. A couple sitting in the area told us they turned the phone in to a manager. Again, management told us they didn’t have it. When confronted with the couple that turned it in, the manager acknowledged they did have it and pulled it out and handed it to us.
I came from Chicago to spend time with my daughter and family in gavelston. I was told this place is amazing so we came here to eat dinner. I have to say this place is amazing, what a great experience, Krystal did such and amazing job always making sure she was so attentive, always checking in on us. I asked for extra spicy sauce and I loved it so spicy! Oh yeah! The chips and salsa were great love the avocado dip and the spicy salsa, nice and hot! Once we got our food I was so pleased this was so delicious and filling! After you eat you get such a great treat you get a free ice cream cone oh yeah!! You definitely need to come eat here!
The setting is cozy, the people are nice, they have free self serve ice cream. However they are way too overpriced for the portion we spent $50 on one taco, one tostada and one plain tortilla covered in cheese. And one burger. That's it. The portions were really small, it would have been good as an appetizer but it was actually a main dish. I believe they called it the "summer special" the burger was pretty good my daughter liked it but she said they could have done better. Overall would not visit again
Hannah was our server, and she was great! No long waits and no issues with our food. Loved the renovation! Haven’t been here in a while, but it’s still one of my favorite local treats.

Omg, best house Margaritas and salsa ever. We really enjoyed our dinner as well and will definitely be back when we come back for our next cruise
The food is excellent, and we have never had a bad server the many times we have been there. The Cadillac Margarita is to strong for me so I order the house, but my husband enjoys the Cadillac Margarita
