Great job for Jason’s in Rockwall had large catering order to pick up right after opening time on Sunday. Walked in picked up no problems. As always good service and they never forget plates, napkins forks, spoons and condiments as some times happens when you are catering lunch Missing any of these things means, you leave the event and go buy them at the last minute! Great job , good food, good service. Short staff everywhere but they got it done!
The food was good, but I think the staff needs some help and some direction from management. The entire restaurant was dirty. And I mean that literally. The floor, the chairs, the tables, all of it was covered in sticky, gross, dusty debris. Our feet stuck to the floor and it felt like the table had been wiped maybe once that morning and left to just collect dust and food all day and get gross and sticky. Most of the tables hadn't been bussed, so seating in the mostly empty restaurant was actually hard to find because we needed a table for 4 and most of those were covered in dirty dishes. The salad bar appeared.... unloved, so our usual favorite at a Jason's was skipped. The water from the soda fountain tasted like the lines hadn't been cleaned in, well.... ever. Had a distinct algae flavor. Took my son to the bathroom and found the men's room toilet clogged and actively overflowing. I advised a staff member of this and their reaction was "OK" and they went back to picking up food from the floor. Overall, the food was OK, not great, most of it came out correct but had to ask twice for silverware, and the kids food was lukewarm. We usually find Jason's locations to be spotless, some of the best in the quick service industry, but this location is struggling.
We have loved Jason's deli for years and were thrilled when the salad bar came back. We have been to a Jason's in Little Rock and one in Austin several times since that happened and experienced the same quality as we expected before covid TODAY however was a huge disappointment. First there were no lemons for beverages. Next there were a huge number of items that were conspicuously absent from the salad bar. ,,,No green peas, no garbanzo beans, no bean salad, no pepperoni, no ham and pea salad, no blue cheese...these were just the things I am used to seeing. It was very disappointing and the managers response was ...we just don't have the same selections. Texarkana Jason's is a must miss.
I have always had very good experiences at other Jason's delis. But,today this restaurant was awful! Salad bar was not kept up and refilled at all during our 40 minutes there. The was little to no air conditioning on a 90 degree day. The floors and tables were dirty and no one ever attempted to clean anything or stock anything. The 6 to 7 employees could and should have done more. Shocker no ice cream was even made!!
Had lunch. In and out and food was great. No complaints. At first there were a lot of tables with stuff on them. Not sure what happened but some one came out and cleaned them really fast. I can only assume the bus staff was needed for something else at the moment. Elderly gentleman named Gene brought our food out and chatted for a second or two. He was having fun doing his job. That was refreshing to see nowadays.
I feel like the cost doesn’t equate to the value of the food here. Then I was up charged for a cup of Broccoli Soup after I requested “Broccoli” as my side which had no addition charge. This was brought to their attention in which they took the soup back and brought me the Broccoli I had ordered but never did they attempt to refund me the difference. I could if asked I get that but I was in a hurry and ready to leave after all of the confusion. We’ve eaten here before, I guess next time we need to make sure the order is correct when placing it.
The food is excellent! I love that the salad bar has so many options to choose from. They need to work on their dining room cleanup, though, as I had to clear my own table. Another patron went straight to the counter & let them know that she has no where to sit because all of the tables were dirty.
Sandwiches are good, but it has my favorite salad bar!
I put that on the review cause I had to do a star but I didn’t have anything negative to say at first but this is my second and probably last time ordering anything here. Each time my husband and I get something we pay over $50 and for your order to be wrong or don’t have everything is unacceptable. We was missing pickles, crackers with the soup, and no rice in the spicy seafood gumbo.(just liquid and shrimp)OMG!! Before this happen, my husband order almost $65 of food threw the website and got the order number and time it should be delivered only to find out that it wasn’t and when I called to see what happen the gentleman said it was an order but couple minutes later he founded the order. Maybe you need to put yourself in my shoes and if it was you, what would you do or how would you feel?
Restaurant had multiple tables with dirty dishes. Trash was on floor. No one was cleaning. The cleaning cart was pushed against the wall. Very few customers in the restaurant. Employees seemed to be having a good time judging by their raucous laughter. Food was just average. I went at 6 p.m. on a Wednesday.
