Just not as good as it used to be. Stopped ordering mixed drinks because it seemed like no one could make one. So sad! It used to be my favorite place. Loved the mini taquitos and tortilla soup.
The food is REAL good, The Unsweet tea is not weak, unlike other places,And the waiters are nice. BUT ITS HELLA COLD
We were looking for a great Mexican restaurant in Temple, as we were visiting the area for a family reunion. We had read some good reviews, so figured we'd give this a try. We were highly disappointed. The service was horrible. The waitstaff stood around at their stations most of the time, not giving the tables much attention. The food was worse. The queso was watery and didn't even stick to the chips. We had also called in advance for reservations, but nobody seemed to know anything about it. Don't waste your time. They have some serious work to do.

Pulled in off i35 thinking it was a classy looking restaurant and the appearance did not disappoint The food and service was another story. Some of the most disgusting food I’ve ever been served at a restaurant. One bite of the beans to discover they were rancid, my mom took 2 bites of her enchilada and almost gagged from the horrible taste, 30 minutes down the road my wife got sick The waitress was to busy playing on the computer to pay attention to her job It’s a shame this place is allowed to lure in unsuspecting travelers to this disgusting food Save your money and health and go else where
The portion size and price are unmatched. I'm from Houston and you would think we had better, but truth is we look forward to visits to Temple just for the good food and great prices from Sol de Jalisco.
This spot never fails to impress. They have fantastic dishes for convenient prices, there are no long waits even when the place is loaded.
