Ordered takeout - was very disappointed Bun was soggy and fries greasy. Over riced for a chicken sandwich $14.00 and very few fries. Will not be ordering from them again!

We found this on trip advisor thinking we’d stop somewhere for dinner before getting to Waco. Driving to it, I thought we for sure were lost, but the GPS took us right there. What a hidden gem. I had a delicious country fried steak and my friend had the ribeye. Both were great. But first we ordered onion rings as an appetizer. Wow, you’ve got to try these. Just awesome!

For starter I would like to say the the Sirloin was great. But I did order sides like mash potatoes and green beans but they where cold potatoes was plain and look like they was just sitting there the roll had to be replaced cause that was hard on top I went cause they went to my son school and I enjoy the meal so much I wanted to go for eating lunch I was disappointed hopefully it be better next time

Food was good but not fantastic. The taco salad was bland as was the catfish and onion rings. They serve beer and soft drinks but not wine. Service was great and the meals were served fast.

Awesome home style atmosphere and wonderful food and staff. Owner Thomas Maddux and his team have made this visitor a new fan! Waitresses worked together asking if we needed anything and busing our table. The decor is inviting and an awesome meal! The Atlanta Yeti loves the Oscar Store!

Been wanting to go here since I moved to Temple. It did not disappoint. The place is huge, the staff is friendly, the food was pretty good.If this review was just for the food it’d get 4/5 stars. It’s not gonna blow your mind but it was good. No complaints. Will be coming back for sure, hopefully when there’s music. Something for everyone in the family.

This was our 2nd visit there. The 1st time we both got burgers, which were amazing! After seeing a lady at another table with her chicken fried steak, we HAD to return to try it for ourselves. We were definitely not disappointed. They were the best chicken fried steaks we ever had anywhere! Their fries are delicious and obviously house-made. I love that they keep the skins on their fries.. so tasty! I got too full to try dessert, but I understand they make their own cobblers as well, so I'm going to have to make a trip there again for that. Hard decision I'm sure, to have to choose between peach, cherry, or apple ... or coconut cream, lemon meringue, or chocolate meringue pie, chocolate cake, or Blue Bell ice cream. I can't wait to go! ?

ABSOLUTELY A MUST STOP!!! I had the best stew with roast beef (not hamburger meat) ever. Went for lunch, had the stew and fried squash, my friend had a great burger. The squash was lightly breaded and crisp, not greasy. Service was great, Paula, our server, was very busy, but awesome. Put this place on yoir bucket list folks, a bit off the beaten path which are the places i prefer, i will return!!!

Price of their chicken fried steak was $4 higher than on their website menu. It was good but not worth the price. Pinto beans were mushy. Green beans were salty. Very disappointed after hearing all the hype that the food is good. Nothing special about the food. We will not be going back.

Your milage may very well be different. But for me this place was a bit on a down side. There is much more to life than only food. No WIFI, no draft beers and the whole selection of drinks comes down to a few beers in a bottle. I had a burger without a bun and I got a cutlet with some vegetables on a side... Is this a burger, I was expecting that they use some vegetables instead of bun but at least assemble it. Rest of the food was good but nothing out of the ordinary. The whole place gives a strange vibe, a lot of people inside and service was slow nobody cared to ask for a desert(not sure if they have any even… did not get a chance to find out). Also I hoped that if this place is far of the city they will have a kind of a park or something outside to chill after dinner - it is pich black outside, it was difficult to find an exit from the parking lot even. So if you want to eat and drive for it well go for it, but if you want to spend a nice evening, talk and enjoy your time with loved ones this is definitely not it.
