Great atmosphere, waitress very friendly and Delicious Food!

Not sure what’s going on at Jody’s these days. Food isn’t the quality it used to be. CFS today was super greasy had a weak crust and was chewy. Last time I visited the onion rings were mushy and greasy. They used to be stellar.Rolls were not as fresh and hot as in the past.If there was one restaurant in bell county I could count on it was Jody’s. Unfortunately that’s no longer the case.

Our CFS and creamy gravey were delicious! Baked potatoes with the yummy smoked bacon, cheese and REAL butter for it and the Warm fluffy rolls...So YUMMY!! We couldn't eat another bit so we ordered 2 Peach cobblers to go...lolWE WILL BE RETURNING CUSTOMERS? ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Old Jody is a solid burger and steak independently owned restaurant.Service was fine if a bit hurried. The menu has a nice mix of burgers, steaks, even seafood.I was not in a burger mood so I had popcorn shrimp which was fine if not spectacular. I suspect that burgers and steaks might be more their focus.I reserve fives for truly spectacular and enjoyable places. If I lived locally I would probably eat here periodically just for variety. If you were looking for something different than the standard corporate owned restaurants give Old Jody's a try.

My five star rating needs no explanation! The proof is in the pie, which is made fresh everydayat the adjacent bakery! This is definitely the place to go for some good country cooking and beer on tap!

I hate to leave bad reviews. I rarely do. In this case, I will say the service was speedy and the waitress friendly. The chicken fried chicken was fine but we each tried one bite of the fried catfish and decided that maybe the dogs would enjoy it! They wouldn’t eat it either! Honestly the worst catfish we have ever had. There was just nothing remotely memorable here….except for the fish, of course and not in a good way.

Three piece catfish dinner with two sides no drink. Mashed potatoes w brown gravy and green beans two rolls and tarter sauce. One extra side of the best fried okra ever made.

Ok, this should be a "NO BRAINIER":Do you like American Staples?Do you like amazing fried food?Do you like southern cooking with the appropriate sides and condimentsto make it "feel" like home?Do you like your food served competently and with a smile. If you said yes to any one of the above, enough said
