This rating is not for food as we didn’t get to taste. We were 2 and 2 joining us so occupied a 6 seater near the window- The server was arguing and asking to occupy smaller table. I mentioned we are early for lunch and that are 90% big & small tables available- yet he was too LOUD & said that is the rule.Customers come for good food & ambience.We lost our apetite dealing with the server & left.Hope the management sees & addresses for rest of the customers.
My experience here was extremely poor. We ordered a few south and North Indian items. Firstly, they forgot an item we ordered and the server was very rude. Secondly they served thali with no papad and when we asked they said it doesn’t come. We pulled up the menu and showed them and they said, should we get it now? This is after we were done with dinner. The quality of food was below average. We love Saravana bhavan. We just tried a new place thinking we should give it a chance and we regret it. Sub average food is one thing, but rude service is unacceptable! Never visiting this place again.
We have been going to Udipi for years in their Hillcroft and the old Sugarland place.The service quality is getting worse under the owners son. During the last visit, the main server showed an attitude when we asked for to go box for left over rice which was meant for birds. Upon letting the owner son aware of the incident, he acted aloof and showed ZERO hospitality.We understand that server might be having a bad day but a little remorsefulness from the “manager” would have helped.
Had a bad experience with this cafe today while being there with my family for dinner. We waited for more than 45 minutes for our order.Enquired twice in between and we were told there is some back log. We still waited while those who came after us were being served. We had to leave the place after waiting for an hour as they couldn’t find our order and asked us to give the order once again.The waiter did not update us and was not polite in his response.We saw another family leaving for same reason. I would not recommend this place.
Delicious Indian veggie fare. Polite helpful staff, cute dining room. Reasonably priced.
