My new "go to" place for Thai in Sugar Land area. Massaman Curry level 4 spice hit the spot. The service made it over the top worth it
Absolutely love this new place! Best Thai in Sugar Land/ MoCity/ Richmond area and we have tried them all! They have a huge menu with such a variety of dishes. Perfect spice level every time. Tons and tons of vegetarian options. Loved them with fried tofu! Good portion sizes. Really really flavorful dishes! Friendly and prompt service. Consistent dishes! Love the curries, the basil fried rice, and the spicy plate! Try this place- you won’t regret it! So glad we discovered it!
I highly recommend this place if you are looking for great Thai food. The place is hidden from the road but the food and wait staff are awesome. If you love curry dishes, this is the place to go. The pansy curry and mango curry are my favorite dishes as is the basil chicken. Dishes tend to be on the spicy side, and I love spicy foods, so order a spice level below what you normally get elsewhere. Medium is good and spicy.
Asian restaurants have slightly different take in the making of their curries and standard dishes. None moreso than Thai food. Around Houston's many Thai restaurants, the curries and sauces are always unique with a large range of spicy of heat!Sugarland, Texas is a bit far afield for us. After a business meeting there, we went to The Nines, and were delighted how different the familiar dishes tasted.Their tom kha soup was almost velvety in its richness and very slightly sweet. My pineapple curry feverishly hot at a level 3 on their spice scale which ranges from 1 which is mild to 5 which could make you sweat. The restaurant offers brown rice for a dollar extra. My husband really enjoyed the noodle delight (rice noodles with broccoli and spinach in a creamy peanut sauce). The restaurant is fresh, contemporary and new with an intimate vibe, plus the service was excellent. There were a number of other tempting dishes listed on the menu that we will try on our next trip to Sugarland.
Amazing food and service. The employees here are really friendly and eager to please. The food is so good. The green curry and pad Thai are my favourite. Reasonably priced.
Best Thai restaurant in Sugar Land! So happy we gave this place a try after our 2 favorite restaurants closed in the last few years. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, plus the menu has a wide variety (even for vegans like our family). The Tom Kha and Pad Thai are amazing but you won't be disappointed with anything you order!Make sure you list your spice preference when ordering, my husband forgot the first time we went and his stir fry was spicier than he would have liked but that didn't stop him from devouring the dish!
Friendly staff. The complimentary soup offered for lunch was delicious as well as the Tasty Mango entree. I recommend giving it a try!
This will be our new go to Thai place. Everything was delicious!
Not entirely sure how they managed to collect these great reviews. My first lunch experience was rather disappointing.1. The place. It is pretty clean and tidy but with zero Thai vibe. Zero of any vibe. Waiting staff were all none Thai/Asian. I got a glimpse of the kitchen and the person at the cooking station was not Asian either. The first red flag for a place claimed to be a Thai restaurant.2. Food. My green curry came way too sugary sweet. Not how it is supposed to be. My bowl of rice was soggy soft and grains all clumped together. Not a hint of the signature Jasmine rice fragrance. When I asked if this was Jasmine rice when checking out, the waiter didn’t even know. He asked the kitchen staff and they answered yes. But really? Whatever that is, they either didn’t cook it right or recooked it from left over.3. Service. The waitress brought out the food. That was it. No one ever cared to come check on me or refill the water. Of course We pay at the register ourselves. When I got my receipt, I noticed that I was charged $13.99 for the dish while the menu indicated it should be $11.99 instead. I asked about it, the answer was, oh that was dinner order. Wait a minute, it was lunch time and I never asked for dinner order. I ordered it while pointing to the item on the lunch menu I was given. You would think they would have offered to refund the money as a gesture for the mistake, although it was only 2 bucks. But nope, the waiter simply said sorry, but you got more food! All in all, not worthy a visit.
I went here for lunch yesterday and really enjoyed the food. The sauce for the fresh rolls was amazing. The tom kha soup was very good, I was worried about trying it as I’ve had some at other places which I wasn’t a big fan of. The pad see ew with beef was very enjoyable. I like that there is a large parking lot, clean bathrooms, and easy access off the highway. I talked with one of the owners and he was very pleasant to talk with.
