Thai Cottage is a place I have frequently visited for more than a decade and have been too busy to go in the last couple of years. I was fortunate enough to retry my and my family's favorite Thai restaurant recently. This was a major staple of Thai food growing up, craving Thai food every week, and knowing what exact restaurant will serve warm, consistent, underpriced, Thai food with an inviting atmosphere. Such an inviting atmosphere, that I've had countless birthday parties here as a child, which were some of the most memorable birthday parties I've ever had. Wanting to show my girlfriend the Thai food restaurant of my childhood, we went with high hopes one afternoon for lunch. Entering we were extremely pleased with the new renovations and were greeted with amazing hospitality from the staff, just like how I remembered years ago. After enjoying their delicious and favorable yellow curry, pad Thai, and Thai tea, we paid a reasonably cheap check and were extremely satisfied with lunch. Thai cottage was not only exactly how I remembered it, but was better and destroyed my expectations. Many businesses closed after COVID but I can say for a fact Thai Cottage bounced back strong!
Visiting for the first time after the renovation... Love the much brighter and a more open concept floor plan. The food standard is maintained and never disappoints... Everything's always fresh and made exactly to order, except today, however, the veg spring rolls seemed re-fried or perhaps over-fried.. ? Excellent idea to serve Thai Iced Tea in a bottle with ice in a mason jar! ?
Great place and great food! They've really expanded the place and the food tastes better than it did before! I really recommend the Tom yum Kha! Very good and perfectly spiced with tons and tons of chicken! Out of all the Thai places I've been to I've never had a Tom yum with so much good juicy chicken!
Vegetable crispy roll was amazing, it even comes in lunch specials! Chicken noodles soup was very nice too. Red curry (mild) with chicken was so flavorful! Loved the ambiance, perfect for date ;)
We have been going to this location for years now and always were impressed with quality and taste. Very surprised at how bad the food tasted yesterday. We picked three dishes and all were quality bad. Something has really changed in their kitchen recently.
Overall the sugar in the dishes overpowers the taste of the Thai food. The starter peanut sauce and sweet and sour sauce on the salad felt like I was eating straight sugar. Wasn't able to taste much else. The main course was presented well but the quantity was small and I thought it was very bland. I will not go here again when I am craving Thai food.
Sizzling beef with peanut sauce is authentic and delicious. Red curry is spot on! Recommended, this place gets super busy, so allow a little extra time but worth it!
Came here for dinner with a friend. It was my first time coming here, ever lol. It wasn’t busy for a Friday evening. I got the pad Thai and it was good! I really liked how they used baked tofu instead of fried. My friend got the red curry with jasmine rice and she enjoyed it. We also got the Thai tea and it comes bottled! Served with mason jars and ice. It was so cute. The interior is big and they have a bar. It’s actually really pretty inside with the greenery and florals. Will add this place for my Thai cravings.
I usually come here on a weekly basis. But today was definitely a day to write a review. The manager I’m thinking it was her she’s also helps to waitress. She took my order and wouldn’t let me finish my order walked away and said ok ok … my food came and ofcourse my green beans and zucchini were not added , I figured she was walking away while I was ordering my food. Second , it’s a party of 2 we both pay credit cards and she swaps the cards so I paid for my friends food she had take out and 2 beers so yeah it was a bit more than mine no worries but PLEASE FOCUS !!!!!!!
We had a family dinner here. Good service. Good vegetarian and non vegetarian choices. Nice soups and appetizers. Wide range of choices. Friendly atmosphere
