Was in Houston visiting and googled seafood and came across this restaurant, by far the best I’ve had. Everything was well seasoned and very affordable. I wish they would add crab legs to the seafood boils it would be amazing.
Garlic noodles with shrimp was very tasty. Shrimp, peeled with tails on, were cooked just right. Lots of garlic but it was roasted and crunchy, so not too strong. Make sure you ask for the little Thai peppers on the side! They are really spicy. Efficient and professional service.
Hands down, the best Vietnamese crawfish I’ve ever had. Happy hour everyday (closed Mondays) from Open to 6:30! Tons of different food and drink selections for everyone.
Went for crawfish and ended up at happy hour. Great happy hour prices. All bar bites including 6 oysters for $7. The oysters were probably the blandest oysters Ive ever had, but the 5 spice popcorn shrimp was good. The garlic butter crawfish was definitely the best. The viet Cajun sauce was very spicy but the crawfish itself had no flavor. The og sauce was not great either. Got the chicken sandwich in the mother clicker flavor which was bland as well
Had an enjoyable date here, I highly recommend the K-Poppers to share, they're fun and sweet, not what I expected, mozzarella Alfredo also has an unexpectedly good flavor, staff seemed really chill, bartender knows good stuff!! Garlic pasta was crazy spicy, but in a way that made me want to keep eating it, had the rum cake for dessert, it was good, but probably not $9 good, but everything else was very reasonably priced. Looking forward to a second trip.
Thriller on the radio. Cute asian bartender. Very friendly server (Tony) that let me in before they had even officially opened. Let me know he may have put too much alcohol in my drink on accident. Um, ok!Ordered k poppers and garlic noodles with shrimp. K poppers are addicting. Garlic noodles were a little salty but the noodles were cooked perfectly.May be back for brunch!
Great food and awesome staff....
Finally went to Spice Lane and it did not disappoint! Got the K-Poppers and garlic shrimp noodles, both were awesome. The bar manager spent a lot of time mixing drinks to get the right combination for their menu, you could tell she really cared about the customers' experience. Definitely going back soon!
I have always wanted to dine in here and it did not disappoint especially after a long day of work! I came on a Thursday quiet night and was promptly greeted and seated. The atmosphere was nice and a variety of TVs showed everything from HGTV, sports, to kid shows. We wanted to sample the menu and ordered:- Garlic Noodles with the shrimp add on: AMAZING and fragrant. This was very garlicky like garlic-in-every-bite type of dish so if you love garlic like I do, it’s a dream- Surf and Turf: the raw Louisiana oysters were fresh and delicious as well as the jumbo cocktail shrimp- Wangs and Fries in lime pepper, crunchy and flavorful- Crab Fingers: blue crab claws tangy garlic butter sauce with a hint of spice. The portion is on the smaller size so we dipped our fries in the leftover sauce- Salt n pepper shrimp: the jumbo shrimp was yummy especially with the ponzu sauce. This was my mom’s favorite since it reminded her of the Vietnamese version of the dishOverall, the food at Spice Lane is delicious, comforting, and comes in big portions. The location makes it the perfect neighborhood go-to restaurant. The employees are attentive and friendly and the owner is really nice as well. I will definitely be coming back to try their brunch!
Had lunch today. Crab fingers were tasty but drowned under butter. Maybe use less bitter or elevate them? The food was actually pretty good! Customer service also very fast during lunch time.
