Been to lot Indian veg breakfast places this for sure is very expensive and not organized or professional. You know the quantity is bad when you get 2 idlis for $8 and gives you masala dosa with barely any masala in it. Make sure you ask for silverware otherwise you ain’t get any. Quality of the food was ok nothing crazy. Only time I’m coming here if all the veg restaurants close down in Houston.

Saravanaa Bhavan is a South Indian restaurant with their braches all over the world. I like their mini idlis dipped in sambhar topped with ghee. Its very delicious, filling and reasonably priced too. The other South Indian dishes are also very good like Dosas, Uttapams, Medu vada.Their Sarvanna Bhavan Spl thali is also very good with lot of varieties. The ambience is very good, neat n clean, spacious n nice seating arrangement. The service is also quick. Food is also of top quality. Also their filter coffee ☕️ is awesome.

The food comes quickly, and hot! Mr. Rana is always a great host and checks up on us often to make sure we have all the things we need. It's always a great (and fast) meal

Did they served already prepared food for takeout/delivery to us in restaurant? completely unacceptable. Minus 2 (negative two) stars. All three dishes served cold including two doshas. Idly appetizers served cold. Masala in masala Dosha blend - reminded hospital food. Was regular monthly customer pre-COVID. Now? Once a year with a hope that they might have changed cook or improved. Last option only when in that area and do not want to go other Indian restaurants in neighborhood.May be they don't care? Thinking they are obliging us by serving food during COVID waves? Hope of improvement is decreasing with time...as quality going down and prices going upWaiter/server was senior, knowledgeable and courteous earning 20% tip (not his fault) 4 (four) stars bringing overall rating to 2 stars.

Long story short, this location is an embarrassment for South Indian food. Dosa/Dose/Dosai is one of the most tastiest food to come from India. Saravanaa Bhavan does a mighty fine job of botching it. I ordered a butter masala dosa today. It was cold (below room temperature) on arrival. How can a dosa be cold on arrival? There was no "butter" in the butter masala dosa. I expected to see a dollop of butter or feel the grease on the dosa and there was none. The "masala" filling inside the "masala" dosa was a joke. It was plain mashed potato that you get at an American BBQ joint with some turmeric in it. There were no spices, lentils, onions or chilies! For $11.49, this dosa was a serious disgrace. The accoutrements were mediocre. The portion did not fit the price and I had to order idly/vada which were half way decent. Also, if you have ever had a dosa in South Karnataka , AP or even parts of Tamilnadu, please STAY AWAY from this restaurant.

Very nice!! The food quality and quantity is excellent!! We had ordered Cheese masala dosa, Butter masala curry and 2 butter naan's. Awesome food ?

Opening South Indian restaurants at 11.30 is very late , They must reconsider to change timings to atleast 11 am , My parents can never eat here as they need there breakfast by 11 for sure .....They also need to work on there customer service skillsOverall the food is very good , they lost 2 stars with opening time situationHope someone is listening....!!

Very disappointing. I had ordered the special thali for takeout. They even made sure that we wanted pooris with it and when we reached home we found out that they’d skipped the poori entirely…. I called … no answer…. left message…. nothing… just an apology would have sufficed ! What a rip off!

This review is based solely on my experience and personal opinion. We went to Saravanaa Bhanan in Sugar Land, Texas, on Monday, 10/25/21. This was our second time at this location and I had never taken the time to actually review this restaurant.Absolutely a MUST if you love Indian food!FOOD:The food always taste the same! can be a lil more spicy or a lil less spicy, but regardless the food tastes amazing. They do Managers, cooks and waiters rotation, so you might experience a slightly different service, but the food will ALWAYS taste the same!traditional SOUTH of India cousine, I can guarantee!most of the times we get the "special Meal" and it is just to die for!there are 10 different samples of their cusine and they all have a different taste. mind blowing! They do southern India Traditional cuisine and they use many fresh spices. My favourite meal is the Special meal that you can see in my photos, it gives you a chance to have a great meal, fill yourself up with great food and give you the chance to try and discover new flavors and new flavor combinations that you would have never thought possible.Their cuisine and flavors are pure Magic!!!RESTROOM: nice and clean.STAFF: they always have a manager, one or two waiters and few busboy. They were all very nice to us, checking every now and then if the good was good or not and if there was anything else we would love to try or eat.CLEANLINESS: The place was clean, no dirty tables, no dirty chairs or benches. The floor was spotless. The glass of the windows is always very clean, something that you will actually enjoy. great job!PLACE: it is a very nice restaurant with many many big windows that allow you to actually see outside and enjoy the view. There's plenty of tables and comfy sofa/benches that you can pick... they have boots for couples of bigger tables for families and friends.they have an "aquarium" kind of kitchen so that you can see inside and watch them cook your meal (if you are interested).PRICE: I think their prices are just within the average and the Special meal is cheap. a very fulfilling, satisfying and amazing meal for just $13.CONCLUSIONS: We will definitely go there again, especially if we pass by or stop by Sugar Land Tx. If you go, DO NOT FORGET to try their signature drinks: the HOT CHAI, HOT COFFEE or the sweet MANGO LASSEE... justThanks!

We have been here multiple times but this was different. We were so happy to go there and we ordered a lot of food. We ate happily and we were talking all good about this place. Then we paid. We were talking after we paid, then the waitress came and rudely asked do you need anything else and if not can we give back the Menu. She was very rude then I asked her Do you want us to leave and she looked at us and gestured "Zipping her lip". I never really thought this would happen at this place. I would not recommend this place if you are looking for good hospitality.
