I would have given five stars but the bugs at the end of our dinner experience were a hassle. The food was good. The waiter was attentive. We had a large party of about 25 people to celebrate a graduation. We had a great experience dining outdoors until it began to get dark and then swarms of bugs came…. Half our guests moved themselves inside and we could no longer enjoy all our company. Bugs were flying in our food and it got unpleasant. Had we known to stay inside to eat we would have but it was not brought to our attention. The restaurant is aware of the bugs but have not purchased the bug lanterns that turn them away…..
Good: Two stars for the location, beautiful patio view, and having a playground for the kids. At night, lights light up the playground and the patio. Very relaxing and romantic.Bad: VERY OVERPRICED FOR QUALITY OF FOOD. Its unbelievable to pay a small order of fajita platter for $24.99. We are not picky individuals when it comes to eating out, but the food was disappointing. School cafeteria food might have better taste, and maybe even Taco Cabana. The food was missing authentic Mexican food taste, and from the 3 salsas we got, none was good. The salsa is what always makes an impression when I eat out, and this place didn't have it. Rice tasted so fake.We received our food, and no silverware. The high chairs for our 2 year old twins, didn't have working buckles. We asked for others in working condition, and they didn't have any.The playground was very nice, unfortunately the gate door is not working so kids continue to leave it open and our kiddos getting out. We had a good table next to playground, but we would had likes to have the door work properly to secure the kiddos inside even if we were supervising them the whole time.SUPER BAD: The only thing that would had made us forget the bad food, was a nice tequila drink. Unfortunately, the squirt and tequila drink we ordered was horrible. It was just soda. $9.00 for nothing.I wish I could say that I would come to bring the kids to play and dine, knowing the drinks and food are not good. Maybe I will just grab a beer next time. I will post photos.
Food was ok, not as salty as you'd expect which is nice for a change, however, the steak in fajitas, etc. was overcooked and tough and the queso leaves much to be desired, kinda like microwaved orange American cheese, ordering it wasn't worth the $10. Margherita was terrific though! Decor and atmosphere and staff was top notch though, also very clean.
I absolutely loooooove this place!! The food is DELICIOUS and the customer service is AMAZING!! My husband and I go often for date night. They have one of the best margaritas in Sugarland/Mo. City.
We love the customer service here. We especially enjoy the outdoor seating, covered patio and opened patio! So many seating options, you'll want to switch it up each time you visit. The margaritas are powerful! There is such a scenic view with nature, a beautiful waterfront to see nature at its finest. Plus, added bonus, there isna playground for kids to enjoy!
This is my go-to restaurant when I want something that will hit the spot. I mean it never fails! The carne asada plate with nopales is amazing, their enchiladas are delicious, and the service is always great! I feel like it is a little underrated because its kind of hidden in the back but believe me you will not leave disappointed. Their outdoor dining area is also very cute, especially in the evening. Definitely a must try!
Great area and patio. To escape from the traffic.Tacos, enchilada, ?tacos.Health menu also. ???? ??Play ground for kids.Large spaces to have a party .Recommend
One of the best mexican restaurants ever! Their flour tortillas are seriously the best I ever had. I went simple and got a quesadilla. So good. Hubby ordered the chimichanga and loved it. He also said their top shelf margs were one of the best he's had and he's picky. This is definitely our new place!
The food is amazing. The back Lakeview patio is to die for. This will not b my last time visiting....
Hidden behind and just off the HWY 6 and Williams Trace Blvd, a must try for your family or just a quick bite! Always the friendly staff, well prepared and authentic Tex Max dishes and wonderful lake view will sure relax you!
