Fat but good. Those people make crazy good burger. The place is really crowded but you understand why once you've tried their food.I really recommend to swing by this grill if you are in this area.I miss Texas !
Joined friends for a dinner out. This place was B-U-S-Y when we arrived. But service was still prompt, too.I ordered their Jalapeño Chicken burger. This thing was STACKED! I literally had to smash this beast to take a bite! It comes stacked with a ground chicken patty, 3 onion rings, Jalapeños, and a Jalapeño jelly. The onion rings are huge, by the way. That's part of why it stood so tall! After smashing this burger down, I took a bite and was shocked. I expected it to be good, but it was better than just 'good'!! The patty was seasoned ground chicken, so it carried great flavor. The jelly added a sweet heat to the savory onion rings and patty. The bun was fresh, light, and fluffy. It was awesome. My wife tried their Chicken Fried Steak which was well made. It was not heavy on the batter and tasted great. The fried Okra was perfectly fried so it wouldn't be tough. The potato salad had good flavor to it, as well.If you're looking for a good burger joint to meet with friends, this is definitely a place to check out!
Live Oak Grill is incredible! This restaurant is such a hidden gem in Sugarland. The amount of effort that the owners have out into the atmosphere of this beautiful place is amazing. The food is also delicious with a wide range of food options. I have no doubt that all selections are delicious as ever. I would recommend this place to my closest friends and family.
We eat vegan, so we had the black bean burgers and fried pickles. He asked if we wanted everything on them so we just said yes, and then it came with guacamole and lettuce and some crunchies on it. They also came with fries (10.99) we loved the cilantro ranch sauce. You will love it here, it's a "locals favorite". Lots of parking because the people just keep coming!!
Live Oak Grill is my favorite place for fried catfish. Crisp cornmeal coating, thin filets that are still juicy inside, and very consistent from visit to visit. The fried okra is also scrumptious. I’ve eaten there for years. Unpretentious facility with sports on small televisions up on the walls, plenty of local families and children. Several outdoor tables under the large oak trees. Great to see that it survived COVID intact.
Great spot in the area for good ole Southern food and your all-American burgers. Order and pick up from the counter. We love the outdoor seating and playground in the back for kiddos to roam! Definitely call to confirm whether they are open or not.
The food is amazing, Made from scratch ,Everyone enjoyed there food would definitely will be coming back.
Love eating there. The food is great. The staffs are great. The atmosphere of great. Lunch and dinner are great!
I love this place one of my favorite lunch spots with amazing selection and top quality stick to your ribs food. The staff is always attentive. I love that they have some healthy choices on the menu as well
Been coming here for years and the food is always awesome. My favorite is the pork chops and fried okra, but they don't have a bad dish. Add in a pretty setting with lots of outdoor seating and they are hard to beat on a pretty day! (Photo is of my son's Texas size chicken fried steak. Apparently named, as it is huge)
