First of all, Jonathan was an awesome server! The marisco sauce is made with yellow cheese at this location which is different than the way they make it at the Old Pearland location, where they only use white cheese. It was still good but I prefer the white only. My husband had the mixed quesadillas & loved them! My dad had the al pastor bowl & he enjoyed it as well. The biggest surprise is that my mom enjoyed the fajita tacos! She has never been fond of "Tex-Mex" food so this was big lol. She has her own authentic Mexican food restaurant (60 years) so she knows food & flavors. Everything arrived hot & delicious! Thanks to Mr. Jonathan for a great dining experience!
This place is awesome. My family enjoys eating here when we are in the mood for good Mexican food. Prices are fair and portions are good too. Armando the GM is a great supervisor that actually works with his staff and goes out of his way to make sure you had a pleasurable experience at the restaurant.
Gringo’s is one of my top, fast casual TexMex restaurants.Today I stopped in and order a Zapata plate to go from the bar. It’s a combo plate with a cheese tostada, beef taco, two enchiladas and typically rice and beans + the chips & salsa. Price was $12.99 - so very reasonable.I’m not a fan of the rice so I ordered double beans instead. Unfortunately they messed up on my order this time giving me a bowl of Charro beans instead of a helping of refried beans and charro beans. Normally I would deduct a star for the to-go order mess-up, but it wasn’t typical for them and I like both styles of beans. So it wasn’t a big deal.Customer service is also typically very good, but today it was a little off, even though slow. I ordered at the bar and there were only a couple of customers there at the time. As a previous bartender myself, I would have offered a glass of water or something while the customer was waiting - but the bartender just took my order and then brought me my food.Overall if you’re looking for fast / casual TexMex, you really can’t go wrong with Gringos.
Friendly staff and quick to serve.
We wait to long for our drinks. Slow service.
Gringos has over the years only elevated in their all round quality in food flavor, menu originalities and the crew and waitstaff are always in motion like a well oiled machine. A good establishment that improves like this is over the years is always impressive, as long as they keep their originality and not become some sort of Chili’s or red lobster, Olive Garden where you can tell a lot of the food and ingredients are not made in house. But here they make it all in house as far as i know.
My girlfriend and I were out and about shopping and were hungry so we decided to try Gringos in Katy. Their chips and both salsas were so good, but the chicken queso was to die for! So tender and cooked perfectly. Their rice and beans were very good also. I will be definitely going back soon to try something else.
First time at this restaurant location. I wasn't disappointed. Good food, great service. The food came out quickly and was hot and delicious! Enjoyed our meal without being bothered by the staff but they were attentive asking if we needed anything. If I'm in the area I'll definitely stop by
Good vegan fajitas. Chips and salsa were good too. Went during lunch and they handled the rush very well. Great staff.
I've only been once before and I was unimpressed--let me correct that assessment. This location had wonderful service, Katherine was fantastic, and all members of my family left happy with our meals. My hubby likes tasty food, I'm super plain, and my kids...eat kids meals. Everyone was happily stuffed and left smiling after our interactions with Katherine. Thanks, we'll be back soon!
