I've eaten at Fernando's Steak House many times and have always had a great experience. The steaks are the best in Sugar Land in my opinion and the service and atmosphere is GREAT! I like this place so much I gave my wife a surprise birthday party and as usual the food and service was GREAT! Many of the guests told me they want to rent the venue for their next celebration! Would give this restaurant 10 stars!
Fernando’s has a nice ambiance, but that was about it. For an expensive restaurant like this, you expect a certain level of service and experience. When we sat down, it took forever for waiters to come take our drink orders, and when we asked any questions, they wouldn’t know the answer at all. The drinks were atrocious, I ordered a whiskey sour and others ordered old fashions, all of which were poorly made. The food did taste good, however, for the price, the quality and quantity wasn’t there at all. Not even joking, I actually went to In-N-Out because I was still hungry after we left. Another thing to keep in mind, which we weren’t told, you get charged extra for the “free”plantain chips if you ask for more and they charged a liquor tax. Overall, my experience wasn’t great and I don’t recommend going there.Response to the owner:Not once did I bring up the price being too expensive, and for you to lay out our bill on a public site is childish. It wasn’t specified ever that the plantain chips were extra. And thank you for “breaking the rules” by seating us early in your restaurant which was pretty empty. With regards to my 10 oz steak which I had, it was definitely much smaller than 10 oz, and please don’t hit me with the 10 oz before it’s cooked because I understand that. My mom got the 6 oz steak and it looked almost the exact same size as that one, yet we were charged double the price. And to let you know, we were having a good time because we spent time with family and friends.
Service was excellent, ambiance was very romantic and the El Jefe plate was AMAZING! We’ve been to steak restaurants and sometimes come away disappointed, but their carne asada is SO good! I highly recommend Fernando’s!
Wonderful dining experience. I had the lamb chops and they were cooked to perfection. The carajillo cocktail after dinner was a fantastic touch.

Great service and food! They noticed us eyeing the dance floor during dinner and turned on some music for us. Cute spot in the neighborhood. Will definitely come back!
The food was AMAZING! We had a large party and every single person said it was the best meal!! We were there for my brother's birthday and the management and staff went above and beyond to make him feel special. We will definitely be back. Fernando's made us feel like family.

Fernando's is an excellent restaurant. Jaunito gave excellent service and the food is incredible! We had carne asada and el hefe, and the pasta dishes, and all of it was the best ever! In fact, my daughter was treated to a "surprise" pasta from the chef! It was my adult son's birthay, and they went out of their way to make the occasian special. They even put his name of the marqui - we didn't ask for any of this! We have been to Fernando's many times and every time has been fantastic! I would recommend this restaurant to anyone.
Fernando's Latin Cuisine is the best! Juanito gives excellent service, and the food is the best ever!! They went out of their way to make the birthday occasian memorable! The chef came over to speak with us and gave my daughter a surprise meal! The presentation of the food was impeccable! I would recommend this restaurant to anyone!
