My cousins and I came to black bear diner and left Unimpressed sadly. Our server was very friendly and polite which is why I gave the restaurant a two but, the food was not all that great.we originally came for the cinnamon French toast (they were out of those). The eggs were wet and runny, and overall bland. On a positive note the scenery was impressive.
This place is very heavily decorated with bear stuff, and I mean it in a good way. It has a very cozy theme, and the food is good. The only thing that they could improve on is their wait time. We waited 30 minutes for our food, and we didn’t even come during lunch hours.
my first time here as well as my friends the food was delicious and served hot large portions of food very friendly service was very clean will most definitely be going back.
Friendly and professional service and staff.
Good food options that include vegetables. We had been in a hotel for several nights and were in search of a place with a well rounded meal. We went around noon and the place was busy but we were able to get our table and get waited on pretty quickly. I had chicken fried with mashed and mixed veggies. It was a nice serving of fresh mixed veggies. My husband got beef plate with mashed and mixed veggies. Both plates had a nice serving size. We have been here in past while traveling and will for sure come back again.
Good clean resturant, fast service and the food is good. It is a bit pricey for what you get. I wanted to give it 5 stars but there was something a little off, sorta fake (decor, big good looking rolls ect..) the food is not down home cooking in spite of it tasting "alright"
I love the bear theme ! Portions are big and delicious. Family friendly atmosphere. Video review coming out soon on YouTube channel:Thin Blue Lane RV Life
Servicio rápido precio excelente bastante comida el personal muy eficiente, mis respetos a los cocineros rapidísimos
The upscale classic diner. Excellent menu. Best breakfast quality and value anywhere. If we only didn't have the usual 20 to 30 minute wait to get seated it would be perfect. If you love banana cream and coconut cream pies, their versions are the best you can find.
Disappointed in the service and food tonight, there is definitely a difference between breakfast and supper. All you can eat fish leaves a lot to be desired, the "fillets" are actually nuggets that do not equal a real fillet, and you get 4 on the original plate and the hushpuppys are bigger than the nugget. The next order you get is 2. Our server did 1 thing at a time and we had to wait 4 to 6 minutes in between, asked for ice 3 times and he brought out half a glass to fill 2 glasses. Again our only experience up to now has only been breakfast, very disappointing. We drive over 25 miles to get here so we won't make this mistake again.
