Baker St pub has been a nice alternative to go with my group of friends after having dinner. The atmosphere is great nice and loud, the music is up to your judgment since they do have live music, and service is pretty fast. My only concern is my last 2 visits there has been a waiter at the very entrances with long hair that is very uptight and seems particularly rude in my opinion. His personality doesn't give you a welcoming experience. I hope he can make some improvements not for me but for himself, because even my group of friends were agreeing with me about his attitude.
I usually love this place and the music but this time I went last night had the waitress with a stank face. The girl with the beautiful afro unfortunately didn’t match the face or attitude. Once my boyfriend paid and we were still enjoying the night she came to him to ask for her tip. Never have I heard anyone ask for the tip as if it was required. We were obviously going to tip we were still enjoying the night at the same table. A tip is left if we want to leave one and if the service was good. I did not hear what she asked my boyfriend and stood there waiting for until she left otherwise I wouldn’t have left one for asking.
I was going to go to a different bar, but the service there wasn't great so I decided to check this place out and I was not disappointed! The staff, along with the bartender, were super friendly and although it was a little empty at first, the overall ambiance was laid back and inviting. Once it started getting busier, the service still remained very good. Also, the watermelon cucumber vodka drink was amazingly delicious! So were the wings and fries I ordered. Definitely recommend this quaint pub!
They steal 2% of credit card tips from employees to pay their banking fees because they lost money during Covid lock down. I worked here. I had a great interview and the atmosphere is great. I love the layout and patio. I was hired immediately and worked day and night shifts. I was fired after I confronted the owners and general manger for taking 2% of our credit card tips. This is 2% from every single tip given per credit card from each and every employee. They make you “sign a form stating you received your tips” BEFORE you get them. Then when I wouldn’t sign the form prior to receiving my tips they became upset and asked me why. I stated I noticed they were taking 2% and I wanted to know why. Finally a lower manager explained they just don’t tell you why you are signing but it’s to allow them to steal 2% to pay for THEIR banking fees. When I brought this up to higher management at the end of my shift they told me “good luck getting that to change” and fired me upon arriving for my next shift.
Enjoyed the fish and chips a lot ! Attending a car show and this was in walking distance to eat. Told the fish and chips was award winning so I tried it out! Very good// I’ll be back again when I’m in this area
I like baker street in general , first time going to the sugar land location , atmosphere was very nice , music was great and our bartender was awesome , the servers were very nice and friendly , they a moderate collection of drafts and drinks were pretty good , would definitely visit if I was on this area again.
If I could leave no starts I absolutely would. If you believe in your first amendment (Freedom of Speech) do not go to this bar. I’ve recently found out one of my good friends was banned for a (lifetime) from this bar for using his freedom of speech. Management here is horrible, they lack communication and nobody really knows who is the actual acting general manager. They play favorites on who they want there and who they don’t no matter how much money is spent at this establishment, if you want a good time and feel like a true American don’t go here. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU GO ACROSS THE STREET TO BAR LOUIE AND SPEND YOUR MONEY INSTEAD OF WAISTING IT HERE.
Service was good. The full order of fish and chips were 2 small pieces of fish. Quality was good quantity no so much.
This is a nice low key spot to enjoy dinner with friends on a Monday. Nice bartenders and great drinks!*tip well
Awesome place fo sho. Fight broke out tonight cops came shut down bar early but hell of a time
